  1. im also in the same boat as you Wapad, need to decide.... love the Niner Jet! from what i have been told, its Niners DS "race bike" and the anthem is Giants "race bike" in DS... so im guessing apples for apples... but the jet has less travel than the Anthem..... witch is a negative for me as i do hard trail riding, but dont want the heavy Am bike.... like the Trans.
  2. you use your size to intimidate i use pepper spray..... no difference really. :)
  3. Capricorn, you're right. we dont need that... @jimmy... i hear you... and your are correct... i do need to think more before i type.... and honestly, its easy to fix the problems behind a keyboard... but in reality, i would never do that... maybe see the funny side??
  4. You'll be coughing, wheezing and crying and wont see your or my front wheel... ;-) hehehehe....
  5. Easy to solve... as you ride past or just before them. pull your pepper spay out and spray over your head to the back or to the correct side... then stop just after you past them turn and take picture.... ;-)

    Bunny Hop.

exactly that Capricorn. my thinking is that when on flat roads and the is a hole/pothole/erosion etc... im talking lifting the entire bike over it at once. both wheels leave the ground at same time... bunny hop, i find helps me "climb" as in the vid up stairs etc... all im asking is that is it the same, assuming you have a 29 that is pretty much the same weight as the 26er. or do you need to adjust because of the wheel size?

    Bunny Hop.

Stretch, yes it is. its awesome!

    Bunny Hop.

how easy is it to Bunny hop with a 29er DS? im considering moving to a 29er, but i use bunny hop often. all those who ride 29ers, does it hop easy? and while on the subject, can it handle high-ish drop offs? like 3-4ft drop offs. yes depends on the rims, but would 29er rims generally be up to the task...????
  9. And ill MOOOOO everywhere i ride while juggling!
  10. Caerus. that is an option and the most logical one... but find just a 26" anthem X frame....?? not so easy.... yes i can buy a new one but at the price i dont have the cash... so i was just thinking that im in for the spend so why not look at the 29'er route... its not like im buying one for the hell of it! and yes, i need new wheels too... so wheather its 26/29 i still have to get them.....
  11. HA HA Andre'..... ok... so i guess i now need to make a decision.... Tommy... sad hey....? so so bleek!!
  12. are you yanking ma chain RacerX...???
  13. well i have quiet high spec components on my 26'er, so i just need to get a new frame and new wheel as they died too... so either ways i need new rims... so technically... all ill need extra is a 29'er fork... ?? tommy... see here.... https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/112082-can-this-be-repaired-and-by-who/
  14. as some of you may have read, i need a new frame... so now i'm considering going the 29" route... i will need a frame, wheels and front fork... the rest i can use from my 26". on the wheels... can i rebuild my current hubs, 32hole, onto a 29 rim? as this will be cheaper for me. or will i need new hubs too?
  15. who would be the person/people to speak to Capricorn???
  16. well, i drove into my driveway, my parking spot (as there as a number of cars in my driveway) no, not a complex but it it complicated, and there was a car parked in my usual turning point, a friend of my cousin was visiting, so i went very close to the tree and when i turned the rear wheel on the rack hooked the tree and bent the sh*t out of everything! i completely forgot the bike was on the back...... i went pale and wanted to vomit! about the insurance... was in the process of getting it done but was waiting for a replacement quote from last week.....
  17. not original owner, i bought the frame second hand.... and do warranties cover accident whilst not riding??
  18. ok... so what are the negatives....?? and who is the best person, ive tried to search but haven't found a name yet... i did come across a thread about this one guy who BS two guys into thinking he could fix the frame and used body putty... im a big guy and my bike needs to be solid... i don't need a weak point as it will break there... WRT to what happened.... well lets just say it involved a Land Cruiser, a bike rack and a 60year old 40foot high palm tree....
  19. so my Anthem got damaged yesterday..... wondering if it can be repaired tube tube is horribly bent....?? if yes, who is the BEST person for the job??? and what are the Negatives of getting it repaired?
