  1. You could also make a lamp: And other things from the rest of the components: https://mpora.com/mountainbiking/23-times-broken-bicycles-components-put-amazing-use/
  2. Watching the Mentalist from season 1. Never watched the entire series back in the day. I do know who Red John is though. Another old crime solving series is Life: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0874936/ The Rookie is pretty decent. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7587890/
  3. We had a betamax video machine and only a handful of videos. The magnificent men was one of them and it was watched a couple of times... I still remember some of the song's lyrics
  4. Perfect time for this thread, seeing that we can't meat together during lockdown
  5. Some interesting and useful videos here from FortNine, e.g. the ways to get a bike unstuck. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNSMdQtn1SuFzCZjfK2C7dQ/videos
  6. I've often wondered about this with people who have lived in a country for a long time and still sound 'foreign'. A friend of mine has been in Aus (Melbourne) for over 3 years and has no real discernible Aussie accent or colloquialisms, still sounds South African. Guess it also depends on who you interact with regularly.

A quote for this thread: Nostalgia isn't what it used to be. * especially when you watch an old tv series that hasn't aged well.

It has various 'pages' with things on the front and back. The only real problem is that once you figure out the combos it makes guessing answers easy, but still a nice way for kids to learn some facts. It wouldn't be too difficult to make new pages or to build your own version of it. I suppose it would be an app today

    Who remembers?

I still have mine, but the 'puller' gears are a bit worn so it doesn't get the bike going properly. Those were cool toys

  19. Greg's timing was off, it would have been a good April Fool's joke, although almost everyone would have known it was a joke.
