  1. It was a lekker race. The roads are slightly dodge but really not bad. I’ll most probably do it next year again. I would’ve, however, liked to see more people participating.
  2. I think I have an opposite problem. They seeded me in what I would consider a "sporting" batch for my first one. I’ve only done the Monte Casino and CTCT this year. I’m seeded in D. I train a lot to back myself but looking around it seems unfair towards some of you.
  3. Since watching this dude’s stuff my thinking on bike sizes have changed. All his stuff is quite interesting regarding this topic.
  4. Titan Racing is a great local brand with good support. And they have anything in their range to appeal to any budget.
  5. New shades and power pedals
  6. I am/was entered to do the repeat. But mentally I just won’t be able to cope. I absolutely take my hat off to the finishers of this event. It’s a miraculous human achievement.
  7. It’s 8.2kWh (160Ah) x 3 batteries. Confusion set in.
  8. Finished our solar installation this week. being on three phase it was a mission to get the everything on. Never again will I miss a 5am workout. 16kW SunSynk Hybrid Inverter 480Ah battery power 20 x 545 watt panels
  9. Got me some new wheels so I can be no faster and marginally cooler.
  10. I sold my 2021 Epic Evo to get the new Titan Cypher Team. Best decision I’ve made cycling related. The amount of high spec kit on the Titans are second to none.
  11. So this was my first sani2c and I can definitely say not my last. I can’t wait for Thursday morning 8:00 to register. From only starting riding 8 months ago to doing my second stage race was challenging. My partner was targeting a sub-15 but we managed a 15:50 as day 2 was more than what my current abilities could handle. The views on day 2 down the Umko valley is on its own worth the price of admission. Next year I’ll be doing the Adventure with my wife, sister and her husband. I did, however, see some poor riders with bad injuries and I hope they recover properly.
  12. This was a long ass way on a bicycle. I, however, enjoyed it. Mostly because the organization was absolutely amazing. The water points were like supermarkets with anything you’d need. The one strength before the KOM was an absolute mental challenge. Overall I think the experience is worth the price of admission.
  13. After being being made feeling guilty of mine I was “forced” to get the wife one in the interest of marital harmony.
  14. Having now ridden one and seeing the absolute value offered I truly couldn’t find anything coming close in value. I bought my wife the RS Carbon Pro this week and the kit on there again couldn’t be found on any other bicycle.
  15. Some more info on the topic
  16. I’m happy to say the least
  17. I’m a bit of an idiot so won’t be able to tell you 🙈
  18. I was hoping if someone has a shorter stem lying around for my bike that’s permanently on the trainer? This one is around 120mm and the reach is just killing my upper back.
  19. Untrue. Herewith mine which shows as specified portable possessions.
  20. They do. I had a friend have a R400k bicycle claim and after not too long he was paid out. And another had an accident recently and they paid him 3 days after receiving the valuation from Cyclelab. Our bikes are insured with Discovery also. And the the extra cost isn’t tremendously high.
  21. Now I really really can’t wait 😝
  22. I think the factory team bikes have the AXS and power meter. From the marketing photos of the new bike it’s clear there’s no power meter or AXS. But with a bit of haggling one can Get these fitted and still come in way way under a large international brand’s pricing for a similar spec.
  23. It’s super disappointing. I understand the same to be true for Specialized. I bought both my bikes there new so I can get this warranty. It sucks balls!
  24. Expected around 7-15 April.
