  1. 9) Your pistons are probably 'welded' to the 'square rings' ie. seized 10) Avid brakes are crap. 11) You can bleed Shimano 'properly' in 1/5th of the time. 12) Avid brakes are crap ...completion of sweeping statement.
  2. Neat shot gummi. I reckon you could play around with composition there for a bit! Stark. Is that the American Cemetery?
  3. B Lights. Sandstorm shot rocks!
  4. I think you need to add: All of the above. Below all that is above, of course.
  5. K. Worked better with 'Killing'.
  6. Vex. My bad. As Rob says, you can buy a spring rated for heavier weight. Cape Cycle Systems should have (red). It may be worth checking, before you order, if the existing spring is marked. Should have some yellow paint (med). You will need Red for weight over 78kg CCS are on 0217613528
  7. Got that Slow.
  8. 'cause it is.
  9. Klint. Killing a pedestrian with your bicycle is a real possibility. A laaitjie riding in front of me the other day (locally), on the 'cycle path' full of pedestrians clubbed a lady. She was right sore, with a possible collar bone injury. (I was 'taking my chance' on the road.) Cycling on pavements It is not recommended * that you ride on pavements. However, when riding slowly with children, this is often a safe place to ride. Just be aware of cars turning in and out of driveways. At an intersection, push your bike across if you’ve reached it on the pavement. The Road Traffic Act 29 of 1989, Section 105, relates to cyclists, but is widely regarded as out of date. Here’s a summary: Do: • Ride in single file, except if overtaking another pedal cycle. • Keep at least one hand on the handlebar of your pedal cycle at all times. • Ride on a cycle path and not the road whenever there is a cycle path available. • Keep all the wheels of the pedal cycle in contact with the road surface at all times. Don’t: Ride a pedal cycle unless you are seated astride the saddle. Take hold of any other vehicle in motion while riding your pedal cycle. Deliberately swerve your pedal cycle from side to side. Carry another person, animal or object which obstructs your view or prevents you from having complete control of your pedal cycle. Bicycling Magazine’s Top 10 Cycle Safe Tips A bicycle is classified as a vehicle, so obey all the traffic rules that motorists are expected to obey. Make sure motorists can see you at all times. Ride predictably and defensively, but not timidly. Anticipate by using your eyes, ears and instinct at all times. Use hand signals to indicate your intentions to stop or turn. Stay calm. Getting irate with other road users can cause you more harm. Ride in bunches whenever possible but consider other road users and ride in single file when the road is narrow or has only one lane. Always wear a helmet. Fit lights on the front and rear when riding in poor light conditions. Fit an ID band to your ankle or wrist that contains contact information of your family and your medical aid details. Cyclists who lack the relevant physical conditioning required to cover many, or even a few kilometres, are more likely to lose concentration and are therefore at a greater risk of causing, or being involved in an accident, than their fit counterparts. *Neither is it illegal.
  10. What he said.
  11. Ok. Lemme help. All directional signage blue - freeway. All directional signage green - other. Speed is black on white, red border.
  12. Yep. Likely a medium weight spring, good for >78 kg. Here is something: thehubsa.co.za> Classifieds> MTB> MTB Suspension> Front Shocks> Fox F Series RL 32
  13. SAME FROG ????
  14. Chap, you leave out your ride weight here. Your Dart is 100mm travel right? It is a coil fork (coil one side, left) On the top is a wave shaped dial. This can increase or decrease the spring load, If it is loose all the way, and you are fairly heavy, the fork will bottom out too often. Increase the preload (+) to see if that helps. If not, it may be that the spring weight is too light for you. Upgrade: If you are going to, and you feel you are going to be doing more trail riding than xc, then look for something with 100-120 travel, dual or solo air, like Rx Recon. You will feel a difference. EDIT: There is nothing wrong with your bike at all. Keep an eye on this here Hub. You could easily pick up a Recon for 1200-1500 buxs
  15. Uh...yes. And it's BLUE!
  16. Never fear Brian. Sounds like it wasn't your fault entirely. He made two silly errors of his own. He likely would have been similarly startled by a sudden tree, and applied the wrong brake to that situation too. Cracked rib, yes. That brings a salty tear to the eye....
  17. My good man. You are talking Homo sapiens? Since when has common sense prevailed? Common, yes. Sense, no. To answer your question (I went back to the beginning...), why are you dithering - ON ONE!!! - all the way. I fear that your sense has got the better of your common. And that the silly orange colour is blinding your perspective. Paint the orange one black, look again, and then make your choice.
  18. Keep your pants on Crow....democracy may prevail.
  19. Dude. My bud has twice. No probs. Guys at Mont Blanc Gateway could not tell the diffs. I think your problem is having ordered over 2 weeks ago. Even 3-4 would put you in the middle of Christmas rush/holidays. Bad for orders and postage. Hope it arrives soon. BTW. The 'Rolex' is water proof enough to swim with, but I am certain not good enough to dive with to ROLEX depths.
  20. Hey! That was cool. As I clicked I got one of those red warning bars "can not determine which thread you are trying to view".... usually tells me I have done something dumbass. NOT SO this time. Looks like you were to blame. Talking of dumbass....see he is back again.
  21. "UK has same cycliing safety issues..." You think? I would say they have far greater problems, what with their finances, The Torys and Richard Hammond ! EDIT: Come to think of it, I don't recall Klackson commenting much on cyclists. I know Hammond couldn't behave on one though. He kept kicking the buses!
  22. Ride the wrong way! NEVER. Sheesh dude. I sincerely hope it wasn't you who took to the lantana bush the other day on the waterfall trail. My humble apologies. I will try slow down next time. Just remember. Keep left, pass right. (or don't ride so early ) Oh. Something to 'fear more' than meeting another cyclist - meeting a HORSE ........eish, now that gets you pumped!
  23. Oh. A warning to all who hate getting lost! Don't go near Karkloof. I have spent a lot of time seriously lost {in eXstatic oblivion} there.... Just not worth it if you are a MTByker who hates being lost! It will also help to keep the trail free of clutter. Thanks Goo'naaaite.
  24. Haha! Smooth. Off to have a Windhoek, will have one on you. **Them damn castle ads are making me want to puke.
