  6. What form does Future Life come in? Cereal or bars? excuse my ignorance....
  7. That also sounds like an option. This morning I had peanut butter and jam sandwiches (White bread) and to my suprise they been keeping me going since 9am **without a workout or cycling**
  8. Thanx Nix for the recepie I'll give that a go soon and thanx Nathrix and LeTurbo Ill try Future life as well
  9. I use flavoured instant oats... Cant keep any flavour down especially the plain
  10. Before a rather big outride I used to have oats (mornings) I've come to a point where I cannot even look at oats anymore, everytime I looked a spoon with oats I had gag reflexes, and everything I did manage to swallow I wanted to throw up (excuse the picture) What would be the best replacement for oats, as I know it's carb rich and slow release to keep me going. I know I could google this but I might not find something thats tried and tested by other riders...
  11. mature?? I'm only 25 but yeah perhaps a little too much... I've always appreciated 'older' things such as cars, cameras, etc... and now bicycles. I think it's because older things store memories, have a history to tell, these are things that people can relate to, and perhaps remind some of the 'better' days
  12. worse then animals!! something like this makes me really upset....
  13. Thx Marius... will follow thread to join the pasta galore!
  14. I'm starting to develop something for all these 'old school' bikes... is that normal? I've spent countless times staring and going back and forth on the pages....
  15. This will be my first argus so this is all new to me :-) Where is this all-you-can-eat organised usually?
  16. Noob meaning I've only gotten on a bike starting January this year...
  17. After work 20-30km daily (Mon-Fri) and around 150km during weekend (with one of the days over 100km at once) I'm a noob when it comes to cycling but I hope this is also enough Am also doing the Carnival City Macsteel race this coming weekend
  18. This will be my first race, also my only race before the argus. Looking at the profile it isn't so bad... Past few weekends I have been training and doing over 110km at once at times (around Sterkfontein caves area and Lanseria)I should be ok?
  19. Morning forum, I thought I could consult you guys about a problem I been having with colics, while training. I been experiancing them for quite some time now, and gradually from training session to training session they get less intense, last shorter etc etc... but they still occur... I find that it usually happens when I drastically change pace i.e downhill followed shortly by an uphill... I tried consulting uncle google with no real solutions out there, How do you guys fight it? (if anyone of you get it) What are the root causes? Preventative measures I can take? THX ALL!
  20. The English give english a good bollocking...
