Here is an update from DC Rainmaker. It also got a list of planned firmware updates and what will be in the update. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/09/behind-scenes-polar.html I also came across this page. Will go and play with it later tonight http://www.dcrainmaker.com/tools Miss Swiss You can rest now as they will fix your swimming distance soon.
  2. Just a question: lets say I am allergic to nuts. How much nuts do I need to get in to get an allergic reaction... Not a lot. Ok so I am allergic to Cat hair, I don't even have to touch the cat I just need to go into a room where the cat has been to show a reaction. My guess the smallest quantity will show up in your bloods.

  6. Happy Friday!
  7. MaXiMuM Have a chat with the Sheriff. Important things that I will consider from one lady rider to another lady rider 1. A good ladies saddle 2. Stand over height 3. A proper setup 4. The bike must look appealing to the lady rider. 5. You don't have to go for a ladies specific bike and lastly a nice outfit ... she needs to look and feel good

Sjoe, that looks very sore. I have a few questions, Please don't get me wrong. On the other thread it seems like the kid was riding the 50 km distance as the incident happened at about the 25 km mark. 1. What was the kid doing on the 50 km race. He looks about 10 years old. Isn't there a age restriction based on distance? 2. Why was he riding alone and where was his chaperon or adult supervision? 3. Why was he mixing it up with the big boys? From My experience... Yes there are some guys who ride inconsiderate but as you go back in the field it calms down and people are more aware of other riders and do give way.

Hi Swiss, You can change your GPS recording session from Normal to "Power Save Long Session". You change this setting for each individual Sports profile that you have loaded. Tracking on normal GPS and Heart rate you should get 13 hours. Tracking HR and PGS on Power Save you should get up to 50 hours which is plenty time. If you still going by then you are half dead. :-)
  10. Well if it is not amaboepensie it must be this guy.

Another thing I didn't know exists on the V800. SAVE POI (POINT OF INTEREST) Press and hold LIGHT. Quick menu is displayed. Choose Set location guide on from the list, and press START. Choose Save new POI from list, and press START to save your current location as a POI. This option is only available when you have already started an exercise and the GPS is connected
  13. The water in the spruit is a different kind of water and surely not the kind you can drink or swim in.
  14. Lets hope this is not just a rumour and that I will get to see the gulf niner in action.
  15. Its already drilled into my stubborn head. I was just asking. As you know my riding buddy is recovering from injury.

Still loving my V800. Its nice to see how the recovery time automatically adjusts to your daily movement/activity.
  17. Ag nee man Sheriff. Not what I wanted to hear.
  18. So, is the Spruit save safe enough for a girl to ride all on her own?
  19. So after all was said and done. We are back at square 1 = measuring dicks
  20. Would love to know. What will they do? Fire you? Oh, wait they cannot ... you don't work for them. Arrest you cause you didn't want to pee? No hang on they need a warrant for that.

Swiss the three dots shows when there is more than one route starting from the same location. Check the bar on the right to select the individual ones.

On the flow website. Go to Explore (situated at the top next to Diary) It will open the world map. Then zoom into your current location. You will see either a running man or cycling icon on the spot where the route starts. On the right had side of the page the routes will show up. If you click on it once it will highlight and display the route for you. Once you have clicked on it another pop-up will appear in the bottom of the screen. From there you can add it to your favorites and give it a name. Once it is in your favorites it will be added to your unit with the next sync. On the unit. Then go to favorites. Select your route and then select your sports profile. From there I do not know as I haven't used this feature yet. I have seen somewhere that only training sessions that has been made public (security settings on your profile) will appear on the map.

Oh and I forgot to add. The new HR strap is a lot more comfy and flexible than the previous one.

I got my unit Monday afternoon. Took it to the gym for some spinning yesterday. I like the fact that you can see exactly in which HR zone you have spend your time and how long in each zone while you are still busy training. This morning I have changed the training views for the sport profiles on the polar flow web... Synced to my Iphone and everything was updated immediately. Man I love this unit. Few usefull things that I found out this morning. 1. In the pre training view if you hold and press the light button you can you can quickly change some settings, this include the altitude calibration should you require to do so. 2. press and hold the back button is the short cut to syncing the device. I cannot wait to take it out on the bike. I see you can also upload some routes to the unit from the polar flow site. This is something I still want to try and see how it is working and what is displaying on the screen. Imho money well spend
  25. I am keen for something like this...but i dont want to get hurt in the process.
