  1. Nine times out of ten I just use the mist mist spray from a 50/50 (ish) solution of Powasol/Red Hot/Car wash or something similar and rinse off after. No issues.
  2. I'd echo that opinion, we had it before and things were (arguably) worse.
  3. Kind of like Saffas in that sense.
  4. The short answer, there is no identifying and nurturing of talent to develop riders to their potential. Not just athletically, but mentally as well. Look at the French, kids that choose cycling partake in a number of disciplines and after a time focus on a particular discipline. Until there's a bona fide and recognised structure from within school level like that, we'll continue to have inconsistent performance levels.
  5. One of those Enduros is the personal bike of one of the local Spez guys, rode it at Karkloof yesterday. What a flippen machine, definitely setup for a more hardcore rider than me!
  6. With the bloodshot eyes and limp like a taped up gimp? .... Yes that was me. I got it in my eyes, hence the above
  7. Lekker spotting you and Iron over the weekend, great to all the folk who came through. Wotta jol. Stretch we must have passed each other a few times.
  8. Some of the funniest bull**** in a long time, proving that the asshole factor isn't restricted to any particular type. It's an even score Luckily still the minority, in the context of the issue. Most MTBrs are still the coolest people I know.
  9. Andrew on a Trek, Shan left TBC. Robert Sim was on a Trek, the crack came from a crash alongside Shan on the log drop. Shan apparently dislocated his jawbone, still raced two laps to take second.
  10. No. There was an A, B AND a C line. So now we sit with an overused sketchy C line, dangerous in itself. Riders brought this up yesterday and fortunately the commissaire opted to check it with the course designer.
  11. Was definitely heated, was that the DHI briefing? XCO briefing had a Spanish rep talking, followed by some Saffas. A semi compromise was met though and overall the route and event is still top notch.
  12. If anyone is thinking about bunking to get down here... do it!
  13. SS is here, they've being interviewing riders. Including the Venezuelan hottie, my muse .... ole Sunday, tomorrow is DHI and XCO - Male 50-54/45-49
  14. To be accurate it's not a "South African" thing, there are supporters and protestors of the section removal locally and from the overseas riders. That much was very clear at the rider's briefing.
  15. Ditto on Main Rd bridge by the PWC Bike Park with people creating a left hand turning lane from the emergency lane. Heal up soon Crasher, back on the bike chop chop!
  16. Oh right, ya that was good work. They swapped out the pedals and saddle to his as well.
  17. Was that you? ..
  18. All lekker thanks, had another Voltaren injection today. What a spectacular weekend, and a leopard cub was saved! Stopped at my chemist today and got some gauze etc .... gorgeous redhead working there, not sure if it was a wink or a frown when I said "it puts the lotion on" ...
  19. Plus one at ToL, luckily BMC loaned the guy a demo for the rest of the weekend.
  20. "It puts the lotion on" .....
  21. Sounds like a challenge! ... for a towrope I'm bantamweight in this
  22. Will the bar kroeg cope!
  23. It's as much a PR backing of that, saying "media" is the broadest of terms. The race issue really does get overplayed so often, but not so much in this specific case and in a sport so predominately white it is pretty significant, especially in his community. Guaranteed, even if no mention had been made of his colour in the release, someone would have brought up the "affirmative" card. As has been done plenty times.
  24. Sien jou daar meneer. Don't forget, bar strava for King of Malt!
