  1. Haha! No of course not. I knew I was gonna step on a few toes with that comment. . I just hope that the riders' skills levels keep on improving at the same rate as the bike improvements. Because then ENDURO's future is looking bright.
  2. Absolutely. The bikes are currently developing at a rate of knots, and all of the developments make it easier to negotiate the tech stuff. Which is cool, but in the same breath I'm also thinking, aren't they dumbing the sport down? In stead of the riders becoming more competent, they are rather relying on better equipment? Not sure.
  3. The bike will obviously be super stable going down. Just not so sure about the look. That front wheel is like a mile in front of the handlebars. The latest Enduro bikes is just becoming too "chopper" for my liking. But like I said, practically it obviously works, but visually it doesn't do it for me.
  4. Sigh... ok fine then.
  5. Sigh... ok fine then.
  6. Sheesh, it always used to be the roadies vs the mtber dudes. Now these days there seems to be quite a bit of niggle within the mtb ranks between the xc dudes and the gravity crowd. And this actually irritates the living crap out of me, because I don't understand why there should be this devide. We are all just there to enjoy the trails. Not? It doesn't matter whether you do it in your castelli bib or your troy lee baggies. It doesn't matter whether you have big wheels or small wheels. It doesn't matter whether you can clear a 10 meter gap or whether you take the chicken run. Just go out and ride and have fun. And stop dissing other riders for doing a discipline that's different to what you do.... for f*** sake..... ok rant over.
  7. That would be Nino Schurter then.
  8. I recently bought a new floor standing pump. With my old pump my pressures were usually 1.5 bar front and 1.8 rear (I weigh +- 85kg), but with the new pump to get to the same "feel" in the tyres, it's now 1.2 and 1.5 respectively. So this is a bit frustrating, because now which one is the "correct" pressure? But anyhoooo, I go with the ol' "thumbing the tires technique" in any event, so don't really care what the pump's dial says.
  9. It's just so pathetic.
  10. Still don't understand the logic for an age grouper to dope. What do they gain? It's not for the money. And also not for "fame", because (no offense), but do they seriously think anyone is interested who won the vets? I can't even remember who won this years Epic.
  11. After just 2 weeks of riding my new Tallboy I can already say that it's better than the Morewood Zula I luvved to bits for the last 3 years. Can't give it higher praise than that.
  12. Western Cape putt putt championships
  13. For sure. Was said with tongue buried far in the cheek. Not too worried about the bike route. Doing Attakwas in Jan, so the bike leg should be fine. In any event.... bike for show, run for dough....not so?
  14. Guess I'll be taking off the tribars then.
  15. Why not try swimming as a third discipline? It's quite a technical sport, so should keep you interested.....and then in March come do the Ironman.
  16. I genuinely prefer DS
  17. Absolute zero by Stone Sour (from House of Gold & Bones part1)
  18. For sure. Maybe it's a generation thing, but like the sheriff said, I'm also just really struggling to find music I can relate to these days. Have even dug out my Soundgarden and Rage against the machine cd's the other day. And in the process came across my Nine inch Nails and Tool albums! Aaaah, good times in the Playground we had.....
  19. Not sure if anyone remembers The Pixies, indie band of the 90's. I really miss them. Have not found one band that could replicate the raw energy these guys had. Surfer Rosa also had a fantastic album cover
  20. What was that one show on tv. Think it was called Project Runway or something. The oke always told the contestants.... "make it work"......
  21. Erm..... no splitting headaches from those wonderful alcoholic fizzy drinks? Most impressive.
  22. Hmmm... and the Intense Spyder perhaps?
  23. Crow you being an Ibis fan, does the Ripley not feature at all?
