  1. Could be. I see more and more people recommending that you not use bombs.... thing is, it's liquid (compressed) carbon dioxide... you ever feel how cold the CO2 is that comes out? My guess is that chances are it slowly freezes the sealant.
  2. Could be a poor seal between the tyre and the rim, you might have too little sealant to seal the tyre/rim, there could be a few reasons. In my case, I have a Conti MK Protection front and a non-protection (couldn't get one at the time) X-King at the back... there is a noticeable difference between the air-holding capabilities between the two... the non-protection one, since it's thinner, loses air about twice as fast as my front tyre. When I first had the sealant added, the tyres would leak air, but I'd just turn the tyres slowly and let the sealant seal the holes in the tyres (call it a manufacturer's defect if you will), thereafter my air-loss was waaaaaay less. Strangely, riding would not do this, I had to do it manually.
  3. I have a Bryton device but being sceptical of their logging and all that, I import all my rides to a Garmin Connect profile. It's a lot more accurate too, btw. Then for social entries and analysis I use Endomondo, since I have rides on there from before I got my Bryton.
  4. You need a CSA license for all CSI-sanctioned races, OR you can pay a CSA day-license fee of R35 per race
  5. 15. 13 only has the blue. I need a shirt that other than my Velo shirt, has less mud-showing colours
  6. +1. Me too.
  7. Cycle Lab's website uses a good merchant, they're bullet proof, so the chances are very slim that it would be from their side.
  8. Yes, @ Grondpad, only for a full license do you need to belong to a club... But by riding with a club, you are reaping benefits that come with being with the club, and then it's only fair that you join the club as a member?
  9. I'll be there in my new shirt from ASG
  10. Cool Better be rustig, my last ride was ...checks.... 8 December (was on holiday)
  11. Up Hans Strijdom, right int Lynnwood Road, then about 5km straight and you've got the Boschkop road. S25 48.481 E28 23.251 is on the Boschkop road.
  12. Haven't been on the bike since December but I usually go out either railway tracks (80km/4h) or just out Garsfontein, or around the Boschkop area (40-ish/2h). @MONS So around 2 hours Thursday tomorrow? It's around a 30min ride home for me from the Boschkop road so I don't want to get back too late.
  13. Their security chased us away last time, saying we're taking up their customer parking. You could try at the Hazeldean shopping center, it's very close to Boschkop.
  14. Garsfontein road, opposite the Pta East hospital.
  15. Not this week, but weather-willing, I might try for next week?
  16. Well they did catch him a few days later anyhow.
  17. Will look on Strava for that. My "road" is the 2nd road past the spa, will tag it. Theres a huge dog there that came about 30cm close to chomping me. On topic, Id love to join, but I do 4am rides as 4pm rides are way too hot for me. Edit: see link
  18. Got the same problem on Garsfontein at the Tierpoort plots.
  19. Maybe he had a reason to change his tune..... Over the years I've turned from being an aggressive driver (getting annoyed with all the people driving dangerously around me) to driving relaxed and just making sure that other people's stupid actions affect me as little as possible. It could just as well have been me writing those two articles.
  20. In the TDF they would ban radios for certain stages so make it more "old-school". I haven't seen anything banning the complete use of them.
  21. With regards to the solid line, you aren't allowed to overtake on it (if you're coming from the far side). but you are allowed to turn right into this street. Note the double/triple line further down the road? You aren't allowed to cross into the oncoming lane there. (so in short, the taxi was allowed to turn).
  22. I haven't done their road rides in some time since I've moved over to mtb, but Saturdays are usually 80-150km in distance (the website will usually specify the route they'll do). Most often, out east towards Bronkies/Cullinan and sometimes out towards Harties.
  23. His intent may have been fine, but he put a lot more than just his foot in his mouth.
