  1. I took our Stage demo for a quick training ride this morning*. Damn, that is one fast machine. Felt like it helped me recover whenever I got tired without losing speed. It was slippery, muddy and wet out there on the Spruit but still managed to average over 20km/h - rocking the flats and baggies. *Pascoe is in the paint shop for a colour upgrade
  2. I got the impression that you may have picked them up on my day off on Sunday. Cool, whenever suits will sort it out for you.
  3. That's awesome to hear. Sorry for the lack of comms dude. Fibre line was down and our phones are VOIP. Enjoy the new boots!
  4. Warrior, you spoke to me. Basically Onza are the only decent 26" tyres we can get. They are R620 per tyre. You have the option of running the Ibexes front and rear if you want a more aggressive set up. I would also give you the option of WTB if they still brought in 26" or if you had 27.5" wheels.
  5. Rouxchie, We got the full range of cSixx stuff including all their guides, chainrings, their carbon rims, headset spacers, grips, slapsocks. The works. Just waiting for their handlebars and a few other bits still in production...
  6. I'm 1853mm in the mornings. But I have broad shoulders so even the 800's can feel narrow at times.
  7. I agree with Myles. A slightly wider bar will pull you open and more forward if you have relatively wide shoulders too. So maybe 780mm and 60mm could work for you. FTR I run 800mm and 50mm
  8. For larger guys, I'd always sacrifice a bit of weight on the fork to get a stiffer, plusher ride.
  9. But but... the Spruit is the most boring trail in existence. Has no technical features whatsoever. 90% of the clip was filmed within a 3km radius of the Trailhead. The other bit in Emmerentia is 6kms away.
  10. Frames are R38500 DVO fork
  11. I get to see peoples reactions to it everyday
  12. No words necessary http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20160106_090512_zpssuai9zan.jpg
  13. From our shop going towards Emmerentia you can ride alone quite safely.
  14. Absolutely. Once you ride it you totally forget about weight. The Stage can be built up to around 11kgs. The Max build above: DVO Diamond fork set at 140mm Shimano 2x11 XT groupset WTB i25 rims with Hope hubs and rotors WTB Vigilante and Trailboss tyres WTB Silverado Ti saddle Hope Tech 3 X2 brakeset Hope crankset Spank Oozy 50mm stem Spank Bearclaw 777 handlebars Rockshox Reverb dropper post cSixx lock on grips Raceface crank boots
  15. These bikes are even better in the flesh.
  16. Was it you who called me this morning?
  17. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/Mobile%20Uploads/20151224_082919_zpswzi70jea.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/Mobile%20Uploads/20151224_082933_zpshmuqtwyx.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/Mobile%20Uploads/20151224_083014_zpsx5z6k9mr.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/Mobile%20Uploads/20151224_083042_zpsakqqsmil.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/Mobile%20Uploads/20151224_083118_zpsd4gihgl9.jpg That should be enough to drool over for now.
  18. Jason collected two frames from Hilton when they did the heli drop in the Drakensburg last week. The other came via courier yesterday. I guess we are just special Will post pics of the custom Max when we are done with it today George.
  19. We're busy with our third Stage build since yesterday. But this one is an orange Max custom build with Hope, DVO etc. Gonna be sweet!
  20. Coolheat are out of stock of them again.
  21. Long, low and slack makes for an awesome descendng machine. Not so awesome on the uphills though...
  22. Thank dude! I love riding so even if I have to go a bit slower over technical stuff than before it doesn't really worry me. I find that I don't notice it as much riding at night for some reason. If you want to know what it feels like, smear Vaseline over one of your sunglasses lenses. Then go ride.
  23. Cross linking is one of the procedures I had in my right eye. Doc, you have to bear in mind that I've had severe keratoconus in both eyes. Have needed eye correction (glasses) since I was 14. Wore hard contacts from 18 till late 30's but I can't wear them anymore. Cornea transplant and lasik in the left eye has left me with close to 20/20 if lubricated. So to have most of my vision without any correction is awesome for me. I just have to get to the stage where that clever brain eye 'accommodation' adjustment happens at speed over jumps etc.
  24. I know all about that. Have had four eye operations leaving me with 95% vision in the left eye and about 70% in the right eye. Depth perception is off. I can manage most of the time except when speed picks up on the mtb. Trying to learn to jump again when you can't spot any landings is scary.
