  1. Jules, we had it all built up by yesterday lunch time... So tempting put a pair of pedals on and take it for a spin
  2. We have the 26" Dartmoor rims in stock. Can't get Spikes anymore... have a couple of 26"Subrosas in green or gold. In fact all of Diald's stuff like Five Tens, 661 etc will be available at The Trailhead this week.
  3. You have to test ride both and hen decide. The 110 29 will cover ground and pedal faster. The 120 650B will be more fun in corners.
  4. Carbon frames haven't landed yet. The Stages being built are most likely the ones they flew in for the ACF. We have the black medium Max 95% built: mainly waiting for a rear axle...
  5. As they become more popular there will be more of them changing hands just like any other component.
  6. Web page went down this week. Failure to renew domain even though we got an email which said it would be done automatically. Should be back up as soon as they send an invoice...
  7. As long as your long ride has lots and lots of singletrack because that's where shorter stem shines. If the front feels twitchy or your position feels cramped, then your bars are too narrow.
  8. We should be building a Stage Max today . Hopefully if a couple of bits and pieces arrive on time...
  9. I'm also having a custom paint job. Will be bright but not as contrasting.
  10. You have to see it in real life to get the full impact.
  11. I like the sentence which starts with "The rear disc brake cable..." and ends with "...fast purging oil change".
  12. There already are a number of Epic riders ordering Stages...
  13. Only on external Lev.
  14. http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/product-images-large/cube-slt-zero-shpc-saddle-black-69169.jpg Have one of these on a Cube MTB in the store. My arse cramps just looking at it.
  15. I started accumulating scars at a young age.
  16. Eish. Hope it heals well dude. Yeah, I turned around briefly to see where the wife was and a branch scraped my upper arm right into the armpit. I now have a permanent scar across the top of my bicep.
  17. We only sell Reverbs and KS. KS Lev external is the only one I use.
  18. The other option is to go for a dropper like the external KS Lev which uses external routing but the cable is actuated at the collar so that it doesn't move with the saddle.
  19. There just aren't enough sales to justify it. To give you an idea we have sold plenty 110s but have yet to sell a medium.
  20. Yes please. I was so busy in the shop I couldn't get out to take a single picture...
  21. Since I posted about experiencing brake jacking for the initial couple of rides on my Pascoe its been bugging me because I haven't had it or even thought about it since those first outings. I don't get much chance to ride these days but in the last few rides I've done, I have ridden hard and attacked bumpy braking zones to see if the rear becomes skittish, stiffens up or misbehaves in any way. All I get now is planted, active traction under all braking situations. I can't explain why it only happened for a couple of rides but whatever it was I'm glad it went away. I challenge anyone to come to our demo day on Saturday morning and try and induce brake jack on a Pyga.
  22. 12th Sept is a major Pyga test day at The Trailhead. The launch of the new carbon XC machine the 'Stage' and the carbon trailbike the 'Stage Max'. Plus the regular ally trail bikes and new hardtails will be available.
  23. Not quite a complete Kind Shock list: KS do a couple of cheaper posts: Dropzone, Supernatural and Lev DX. Also an error because Lev also does a 27.2mm post.
  24. On the brake jack issue. Yes it does suffer from it. My previous VPP bike had such an active rear end under braking which meant I became used to just mashing the rear brake into braking bumps and ruts without any undue concern. Within a ride or two on the Pascoe I adapted - probably because my left trigger finger became much more sensitive on the rear stopper. I don't even think about it at all during a long gnarly, descent with hard braking. I kinda like the fact that it's go a bit of a quirk otherwise it does everything so damn well it would be a tad bland without the slight braking issue. Next time I see Pat or Mark I will ask them why the design compromise... The only thing I notice is that rear pad wear is more or equal to the front which is unusual for me. Just as well I use Hope brakes where you can dial in your bite point nicely to give any type of modulation you desire. edith: grandma and sphelling
