  1. Miles, for your size bigger volume is better.
  2. Latest RRP is close to R21k
  3. You might battle with the WTB tyres on Stan's rims. Sometimes too tight to get them on. WTB are proper tubeless an the rims aren't. We have the CC headsets from Pyga at the Trailhead
  4. They don't make an XL of their 650B frames. I'm 185cm so closer to 6'1" than 6'2" and I fit quite nicely on my Pascoe with 50mm stem.
  5. This one is sold already
  6. Today's build: http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20150330_144126_zpsrmhfawv4.jpg
  7. I have taken pics of most of them. A number of them still in the shop as demo bikes. So if you want to test out a 110, 120 or 140 just pop in. Might need to book it if on a weekend. Yes, you can access our FB page 'The Trailhead SA' through the website in my signature.
  8. There is a severe shortage of black 120s. We have built up a couple of orange ones though. Just done a small yellow Pascoe with a Vibrocore bar and Spike wheels.
  9. Cool. For interests sake then... 1.7bar on my Birzman is 2.5 on my old Parktool.
  10. Exactly the problem I've had with a number of Contis and why I havent used them in years.
  11. Firstly, not all pump gauges were born equal so my 1.7bar may be your 2.1. Secondly, dual or single ply sidewalls? Thirdly, depends on your weight... Fourthly, measured with my Birzman pump on dual ply casings. My 95kg heft enjoys 1.6 -1.7bar front and 1.8bar rear.
  12. I was at Hakahana. That must have been Jason. Yeah, proper UST rims fit proper UST tyres.
  13. The dual ply WTB casing is pretty close to the SG casing. The single ply I cannot ride.
  14. I was asked to bring a handful of them to Hakahana this weekend after a few guys killed their tyres in practice on Saturday. Didn't hear of any which had a problem on race day.
  15. In 26" have the following (all tough sidewalls): Onza Canis FR (R640) Onza Ibex FR (R620) Conti Mtn King 2.2 (R750) WTB Bronson (R560) I have not ridden with the Onzas yet but they get good reviews so keen to give them a go on my Pyga. Some people say that the Bronson has that dead spot when you lean it halfway but I haven't experienced it myself. Bear in mind I rode them for two years so did put in the effort to find the pressure sweet spot for my weight.
  16. Onza Ibex FR casing OR WTB Bronson Dual Ply casing
  17. I've had Conti knobblies tear off on tyres which have never seen the road. Even though I stock them I'm not a fan. I might try the Onza Ibex as my next front tyre but the dual ply WTB Wolverines are superb on the rear in dry conditions. Still waiting for stock of the dual ply Trailboss....
  18. You got the dual ply double thick sidewall Bronsons?
  19. The thin rims will make the Bronson balloon a bit and the tyre will roll a bit side to side on the rim. So you may need to pump them slightly harder than normal which will decrease the grip.
  20. Says he who ditched the blue rims in favour of black
  21. You are very lucky that you got those green rims back. Nearly ended up on my Ragley
  22. In the caption: "A rider negotiates the rocks in the Gauntlet" Jason Geldenhuys is said rider.
  23. You can have your brakes set up the side you prefer them.
  24. Enjoy it dude. It looks spectacular IRL
  25. My Pascoe is 14.3kgs
