  1. I forgot my comb at home today. It's the simplest little thing that can be a problem if you're a woman... or Peter Sagan Anyway, I did the best that I could using my fingers as a makeshift comb. I'm walking around the office looking a bit like I just got out of bed. note to self: buy a spare comb to live at the office
  2. Well.... I haven't yet, but that's not to say that I can't ;-)
  3. I've been busy for the last couple of weeks making Macarons
  4. Please don't, then I'm going to find myself getting into a lot of trouble. The pavement is where I like to stay alive.
  5. I think I might be in love

  7. Yes, quite sure ;-) A lower protein flour cooks faster and produces a crisper base. Bread flour could be substituted if you're looking for a softer, more chewy base.
  8. Finally..... Crispy pizza base dough 500g Cake flour 250g Lukewarm water 15g Instant yeast 7g salt 62g olive oil You can either make this in a mixer with a dough hook or by hand. Mix the lukewarm water and olive oil together. Put dry ingredients into a bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry and work into a dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for +-10 mins. It should form a smooth ball by the time you're done. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with clingfilm (poke a small hole in for it to breath) and a tea towel. Place in a warm dark place to prove until its about doubled in size. Remove from the bowl, knead it until it's pliable. Divide the dough and roll it into rounds. I don't pre bake these bases. I usually just put my toppings on and bake. This makes +-4 regular pizzas from what I remember. Enjoy
  9. I forgot!! I'll try to remember tonight
  10. I have the perfect recipe for a thin, crispy crust, but it's at home, so I'll have to post it later
  11. I bought myself a pair of running leggings that have a zip pocket at the back. My distance to work is a bit far to run, but I have occasionally run 10kms to the bus stop and then hopped on a bus for the rest of the journey. On those occasions I have my phone wrapped in a zip-lock bag in my pocket. It fits nice and snug, so I hardly notice it's there.
  12. Here is the link to next weeks challenge: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/167751-sani2c-commuting-challenge/
  13. Yes, the whole distance will be considered a commute. As long as you don't go home first. I think a lot of us will have to be creative and make little loops at the beginning and/or end of our rides to make up the distance.
  14. I have much to learn......
  15. To Komatipoort?!!
  16. For you guys?..... maybe
  17. sure thing. Marzipan is so old fashioned anyway (unless it's in a petit four, then its a must!)
  18. fancy that, my instagram account contains mostly cake/baked stuff https://www.instagram.com/artsy_tartsy_cakes/
  19. and never let poor Ruby, join in any doggy games?
  20. Thanks, he's a bundle of energy and can be overwhelmingly boisterous, but I can't remember what life was like a couple of weeks ago when he wasn't a part of it. I think if the roles were reversed Barry would've taken my animals in... ok, maybe not the cats
  21. Well, for what it's worth, Scar is settling in very well and has found his new BFF in my teenage son. I sometimes look at him and wonder if he understands what has happened and where his human went to, but he seems to like his new humans, so I think he'll be ok
  22. I'm sorry about your predicament ScottC-M. I hope you manage to home your boys. If nobody here can help, it would probably be best to try and use an animal welfare organization to help you home them so that proper home checks can take place and they don't fall into the wrong hands. Good luck
  23. Mine has gone up to 22 hours
  24. You might be the third person to say that. I'm beginning to think that it's tougher than Baviaans
  25. I do this at TransBaviaans with my 310xt. The only problem is that although it continues recording, I get the 'charging' screen. This isn't much of a problem in Baviaans, but in an event like this where I'm relying on my GPS for directions, I'm not sure what I'd do.. #thingstothinkaboutwhenconsideringdoingC2T
