  1. We are racing (pocketbikes) on Sat, so that's out. What are we going to do Sunday, Hog?
  2. So... if I am busy giving some a light push, and they go over before I do... Eish, I might be the one needing the push
  3. What is this lantern rouge/red lantern thingymagig?
  4. Sounds like fun. I'm in for the weekend 19/20 or 3 Aug
  5. I don't plan anymore kids, not after my two brats. I also plan on keeping my nuts so.... JAAASSSSOOOONNNN, HELP !!!
  6. my nuts on the block here, but if they have it with them, expect a call before the end of the week. Keep us updated
  7. MuXmAn, I was the one that asked Jason to please register and help out. This was at the time that they gave me a new handle bar mount for SP. Being at their counter is as interesting as being in court and listening to all the peoples problems and how they solve them. This time, a man was coming to collect his unit that had been stolen (about 200 km away) and recovered. Jason had to track down his details from his registered software to be able to contact him. I only know Jason and Jaco, and I sometimes wonder if Garmin actually appreciates these 2 guys, as their are times you will find them eating "on the go", going the extra mile. I have had Garmin for about 7 years now (got the Navtalk when it came out). Units have been lost, damaged etc, but there service was always outstanding for me. One of my units could not be repaired, so they gave a newer model. After 2 weeks of poor performance they offered to swop it for a better model or I could pay in and get the Nuvi, which I did. They take in your old unit and issue you with a new one. They never ask for the outstanding chargers or mounts etc. Now I have a mount in my wifes car and one in mine. To me, this is Garmin's way of say "sorry you had a hassle with our product" Most other companies want an item returned in its original packaging with ALL accessories...
  8. KDEE, EB and friend, SP, Mrs A and friend... thanks for a lekker ride!! Sorry to have kept you waiting, it was my fault...as usual. EB, respect on the see-saws To the guys that helped us with a bad chain suck, thanks. Never seen someone carry so many spares with them. You guys could be the spruit's recovery team
  9. Eish, looks like I am not going to make it, for this morning's ride. Just got back from Olivedale clinic with my youngest one. Temp was at 41 deg. I have to insert these little bullets up his "O" every four hours, so I'm not getting much sleep.
  10. I think that's too good to be true, so I will give you 2 six-packs for your bike
  11. Hog, not my quad... brother-in-law's.
  12. Hog, I do want to buy a bike. The thing is, at my ripe old age, I want to buy one big that will last me for the rest of my little cycling career. In other words, I don't want to buy a cheapie now and then a full susser in a year or twos time. I just want to do the normal type dirt riding like HR's dump ride and Groenies etc. I think it would be more comfortable on a FS. The next, and most important thing is the moola. I have received a great offer on a Specialized Stumpjumper, but the money is the main catch.
  13. Thank you Bobbie It was nothing, really. I was just putting my money where my mouth is. I was telling SP that Garmin just replace anything that I have had, that has broken. In 6 years, they have replaced 3 units, 1 "sucker mount thingy" for the window, and 1 charger (and now, 1 bycicle handle bar mount). I have also had various exchanges done for friends. Garmin is close to me, and I can run around in the day, so did SP a favour. Garmin even supplied the 2 cable ties!
  14. Right... now I am confused, and the more I page back, the worse it gets Saturday: Mampara & Mrmed take people through the spruit from Cresta/south side. 7:30am Sunday: EB, SP, KDEE, Hog +, through the spruit from Paulshof. 7:30am I will (if I can get outa bed) join Mampara etc on Saturday with the wife's "BMX". If I find I can ride this small excuse for a MTB, I will join the Sunday group as well. Nancy, you going to join the Sat group? I need to go as I haven't met Mampara or Mrmed yet. SP, I've got a present for you. Garmin came to the party again... replaced your bar mount... free, gratis, por nada, fur nichts, 为没什么, mahala
  15. Your car depreciates in value every year, so should your payments...I have a sneaky suspicion that they increase it by lots, so that when they drop it to half, one is happy (when in actual fact, they should be dropping it!!)
  16. Come Sat morning, I will organize a pocketbike for you to race
  17. Would like to be there, but have a race at Zwartkops on Sat
  18. ...oh yes, almost late again, thanks to the traffice department who decided to pull a road block over the whole N1. They were checking for unpaid fines.
  19. To the guys that fell... you shouldn't ride so fast My first official MTB ride, and what a jol. Took me a few minutes to figure out the timing between my pedal strokes and the rocks, in the first few minutes, but then got the hang of it. I was also amazingly surprised to find out what type of terrain these bikes can actually get over. I really enjoyed the single track parts of yesterdays ride. Rode most of the way with Hog, who gave tips on cornering technique etc. Thanks to HR for the loan of the LEFTY. It was nice meeting MTBKing, Porn* and the others that I didn't know. The "after ride dinks", was great, and had a couple of good laughs with your stories. If I had to have a beer with you guys, my powernap would've been at the Mugg
  20. if you pm me your number, I can sms you the route, with millage and time to arrive, to your cell
  21. I hope so, if not, I am firing my Garmin What area do you live in?
  22. HR just sms'd me back. I will see you all there
  23. Not yet. I think I will send him an sms and hope he reads it before tomorrow morning. I will take the chance and come through anyway - with the wife's "BMX"
