  5. eish, the problem shes one, it is a half hijack. We are talking about the kremetart Yes, I am riding it
  6. There goes my riding buddy that had the same club jersey as myself Congratulations on the NEW jersey
  7. come on car drivers, enough now, geees, when this going to stop !!!! Reporting himself in might be the right thing to do, but it wont change the past. These guys must just stop their **** and realize they are guiding a 1 ton missile around and start taking note of what they are doing. The problem is concentration. When we first learned to drive, we concentrated on driving and conversations etc, were in the back of our mind. We are now so used to driving, that we concentrate on all BUT the driving. My condolences to the family and friends.
  8. TNT1, I am in a similar boat, I have a 6 and 3 yr old. I had to wait for the "his fine" before I decided to post. I got goose bumps as I could hear MY child screaming for me to help him (because in his eyes I can do everything), and I feel worthless as there is nothing I can do. He is also crying that the hot exhaust is burning him and it won't stop. Seriuosly, I have got to stop the role playing as it really hurts Obeying speed limits is not enough. Coming home at 10:00pm at night in a housing area @ 50-60 might be acceptable. From 2 - 6 pm, you should not exceed the 30 - 40km\h. This way, one might have been able to avoid this accident. There is a reason most complexes have a speed limit of 20 - 30 km/h, it's called KIDS I am just so happy the kid will be fine, it's the suffering the parents must have gone through, seeing their kid under a car, that still hurts.
  9. Gary laughs every time I finish a race and lift my short for all the sachets to fall down. From what I've read here on the hub, littering is an ongoing problem and it doesn't look like it will stop. It seems that some people will never carry their empties with them. The other alternative would be to mark an area, say 200 meters or so, after the water points that says LITTER. This way everyone knows that they only have to carry their empties for a short while before they can toss it. It would make cleaning up a lot easier as it would confine (hopefully) the litter to these points. Whether this would work or not, I dunno, but it could be experimented. 10. DT, I don't disagree with you. There will always be idiots on the road. The way I see it though, we have 2 options: Lights and theres a chance we will only get taken out by idiots. No lights and we risk a chance of getting taken out by everyoneI also read that a flashing light is a lot more visible than a steady one. Safe riding
  11. Shagg my wife on the hood of the car and you will wish you were murdered. (use a bed like most people) On a more serious note, whatever he might have done, could not have deserved the car pulling next to him to knock him off the road. It's almost as if the guy wanted to see the fear in his face. Then he still has the nuts to chase him. I don't know the cyclist, so I can't judge. Time for me to start carrying again. If anybody needs a "rent-a-cop" on training rides, tell me. I need to ride more. I would make sure he was dea, but not because he can't talk, but because he carrent do it again.
  12. IanJ, let's say someone did a 10km warm up. How long does one stay "warm" for?
  13. You see Zoo, they are already talking about mountains!! LOL
  14. To put the following statement into perspective, my buddy thinks we are stupid cycling for 100 k's, but 175 is madness. Then he pops up with this chirp and I almost fell of my chair. serious A friend of mine was reading IanJ's advice and said he should be a "suicide bomber recruitment officer". I asked why he said that. His response was: He has such a nice way of sugar coating something really horrible. Sorry IanJ Pocketbikes2008-05-20 15:13:18

  17. no offence guys, but just hearing about this "snap" is giving me the chills. Ouch!!
  18. I changed your post a little, and now I will say ME TOO
  19. Using a cutting plotter, you have to use a vector file. Let's say you opened a .jpeg pic of the logo, and zoomed in. It would start to pixelate and you wouldn't have a clear line the the cutter could follow. If you opened a vector file and zoomed in, it would be clean and clear. What is the name that you are looking for? Let me see what I can do.
  20. Is it possible if madmarc, BTB, Crux, Ana Gouws, Auction Lamb and anybody else can post the Insurance company, insured value and monthly payments. I will make up a list. This way, you guys plus anyone else can see if your premium is market related, or should you fight for better pricing, or move on to another company. As a fact, insurance company are the biggest skellims around. How many of you have your premiums reduced every year for your car. The value depreciates every year. I have to contact my insurance every year to drop my premium. I never used to, until I was told by someone. How much extra money did they make from me, until I did.
