  3. Suspicious character seen at the Kremetart potjiekos evening... having a snooze.. (please excuse weak photo quality)
  4. Jaaa.... ek moet ook 3 xtra borde potjie koop.... hmmm, dalk het my ma'le brood... dan kan hul maar toebies eet.... Ek sien uit daarna om al my vriende van LTT en elders by die Potjie te sien!
  5. You are SORELY mistaken my dear! I know nothing about this.. Ek en my maatjies gaan kuier daar by die Potjiekos. Weet niks van enige ander afterparty nie... het wel iets gehoor van die Elites wat hul eie party beplan, maar dit het niks met my uit te waai nie! Julle outjies moet maar lekker "after the party". O ja, sal ook nie die ride maak Sondagoggend nie. Gaan bietjie saam die familie kuier.
  6. Apparently it's still freezing cold @ 7am there too... So do not forget to pack the winter woolies!!
  7. Ian it's quite rolling terrain to Louis Trichardt from where you're staying and I'm thinking maybe a bit further than 10km.. Anyway, I'll give you a lift back if you need it. Respect dude! 175km is quite far enough for me - even if I have to start off cold!
  8. Because that is what I pay them for....to cover me no matter what. They don't like it' date=' I go to the competition that does offer the service I require.....easy hey? [/quote'] Edzackerly!!
  9. When I first started cycling cyclesure was the best insurance option. Low premiums and they didn't have any problem paying out for damage incurred whether during races or training. Then had a big fall and they even told me I should claim for the medical bills but I never got around to it. This year so far it seems they're changing their policy every now and then and when I fell and hurt my arm and had to have x-rays and freakin expensive scans done, not to mention the doctor's bills etc, suddenly they only cover your medical costs if it's incurred during a race! I thought they cover us/our bikes whether training/racing/during transport whatever. Now they've got conditions on everything. Maybe I'll have to look at this new pedal care thing too.. maybe they'll be okay for the next 2 years or so and by that time there ought to be another one...
  10. Oooh, that's deep...
  11. Nope, none taken. Lizzy got a flat, we cut our ride short - didn't do Klapperkop and all had coffee and eats afterwards. Oh yeah, and Zoo had a huge slice of chocolate cake!! ) Highlights of the day - riding in icy weather... (or maybe not), actually enjoying the ride again, the view from the back of the group.. and spending time with old and new friends who love cycling as much as I do.
  12. I've read through most of the posts here, and everyone's got lots to say and makes valid points. My 2c worth:I don't have a literate reason, I just know that I want out. I do not want to wait until something happens to my daughter before I make the move. I'm just in the dark as to how to go about it. But working on that... I do not see a future here anymore. And there's nothing keeping me here emotionally. If I make a new start elsewhere I will work to bring my loved ones over too. For now I just have to get my daughter to safety, because I think that's the thing for me, I don't feel safe anymore. I don't have a domestic help, and I don't hate "other-coloured" people. I feel the same about them as about anyone else: leave me to live my life to the best of my ability, I don't want anything from you and I don't owe you anything and I don't grudge you any opportunity, but please afford me and mine the same courtesy. Unfortunately this is a naieve dream... If I get the opportunity, I won't think twice, I'm out.
  13. Hey, well done little Ben! Welcome back on the bike!
  14. Depends on the amount of photoshopping taking place... NO! I'll go as far as a bikini, but that's it! Anyway, the 'dale is much prettier than me!
  15. I'll supervise the male shoot - yes please! But I'll pose too - with my 'dale - as long as quite a LOT of photoshopping gets done!!
  16. YES, spinning is worth it.
  17. Will be there.
  18. You guys make me sick! How must one work when you know there's beautiful places like that where you've never been??
  19. Now why didn't we know that when we were choosing her hub-name?! Excellent!Chilli Pepper2008-03-30 08:02:46
  20. I'm confused now: It was only me, Firefly, Sonic, LizzyB and Gary (the driver) in the Vito... Who's Habanero?
  21. To everyone who did this race - whether you were at the front with the "Vinnige Frikkies"or travelling with the Hubber's bus and other groups; And especially rider no.501 who finished just ahead of the sweeper vehicle: RESPECT! This is NOT a flat route and it wasn't easy. It was windy and it was hot and the last 5km was cycled in pouring rain. But you did it, and for the most part there was smiles all round. Thank you for the opportunity to share this day with you!
  22. Finished!
