  1. It was a tough day out for me, I had a good day up until 110k then my stomach started giving me hassles, had to go to the bushes and puked my lungs out, from there it was horrible and limped home. As @TyronLab mentioned, I did not "Experience" the event. Lessons learnt, I might be back for a "Cruise to the SUN"
  2. Thanks for tip, I will consider this when its time for an upgrade of my current set-up.
  3. Tried that, was recommended by Garmin Forums, still nothing.
  4. I used to be a very big Garmin fan but now they are having connection issues with Phones, so you need o repair them every time you move out of Bluetooth range, so stay away from Garmin for now.
  5. I have recently changed from a Scott Genius to a Trek Top Fuel, the ride is quite different, need to get used to the Trek, burning to take it on a proper to get used to the new handling.
  6. I can not wait to see something different to be honest.
  7. There was a youtube video about Muc-off going to provide the service at your LBS but I think not in SA.
  8. I had so much issues with squirt seal tyre sealant, battled a full Saturday, went to LBS got STANs, first go, the tyre seated and stayed inflated, I have a half a bottle left, too scared to try it again.
  9. it does look cracked, torque the bolts equally normally helps - Most engineering shops would be able to do a Heli-coil in those threads for you.
  10. Trek Top Fuel 7
  11. Sold for 19K
  12. was not meant as a Joke(did not think it was that old), thanks an yes it is, will probably end up trading it in.
  13. Good morning Fellow hubbers, Please help me to get a price for my "old" Bike, it started life as a Scott Genius with a few upgrades and changes. Thanks in advance, XT 1x11 gears with Rapide Oval chainring (32 & 34) Ohlins RFX34 140mm Travel fork (Cartridge bearing on headset bottom) Rockshox Delux Rear shock (130 rear travel) 150mm Bontrager Dropper post with Bontager lever Token Thread together bottom bracket Rapide wheels with Recon 2.3 Front & Recon Race Rear (tubeless) SLX M7100 Brakes with 180mm Rotors. There is an option with a XT Stages power meter as well. NOT SURE WHY THE PICTURES ROTATED.
  14. I got as cheap(second hand) XT power meter for my MTB, and its a nice to have, getting proper TSS when you go out and train for longer ride.
  15. We import magnets on a big scale and the shippers hate heavy containers so they hit us with charges.
  16. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Trek Top Fuel 7, last week R50k, went online this morning R55k, I think my 6 year old Scott Genius will have to go a bit longer, Now hunting for 11 speed parts at semi Decent prices.
  17. These days Cycle lab also has drop boxes for it.
  18. There is, its called the "salvage thread" or something to that effect.
  19. and above all, I think we have gained a hubber.
  20. Most, head units, Garmin and wahoo, will store and control your trainers and you can do it while not connected to the internet.
  21. Does the Cypher have cartridge bearings? I installed NSK bearings into my Rapide wheels and initially it did feel a bit tighter than the older bearings, I think the NSK get made with more of an industrial grease.
  22. Here are some pictures of my solution, assembled with some thread lock, I see the Genius Bushes are quite a bite beefier than the Spark
  23. Will take some pictures of my old bushes and new ones, post them in the morning.
  24. I went to the start of the Thread, Same happened to me, Scott Genius, rear Pivot bushes, printed as 15NM, I did not even get to 10 and it snapped, I got and engineering company to make me custom bushes(benefits of being in the field), in with some thread lock and it better than before. The thread inside the OEM is also a special, it measures 11.7 OD with a fine pitch maybe 0.8mm
