I heard from someone it is possible to change to MTB ratio at the back, it will only cost you the cassette & derailer and a chain, but as someone once mentioned on the forum "climb, climb and climb some more"

I had a look and feel at boksburg Mr price sports - I don't have a very expensive bike myself but this looks like junk, very heavy, grips even look cheap, rear derailer looks like its going to break with the first shift - IMO its junk

They should have this race late in the year when there is not so much rain then it will be much better with less mud.

I am considering upgrading my current road bike(TREK 1000 8 SPEED SORA)to something like a RC6000 or a Scott speedster S30 besides the 2 extra gears and a kilo or 2 what would I gain and how much of a difference would it make?? Your comments and advice would be appreciated.
