agree - TB is moerse expensive for one day of racing / riding

You can do a 3 day stage race in knysna, or the W2W for a little more. Take into account travelling forever, accommodation at two places, etc etc. Nothing cheap in this race. This race easily cost you R4000 for one day if you are travelling from Cape Town. Believe me, i did it twice. But the jaffles at the last water point makes up for some of this

If I may ask, what is the prize money for coming second? Would be interesting to know, since the entry fees are sky high

don't get me started on development riders. Get sponsored with spez bikes and kit, then rides the 3km spur race, while some other laatie ( also previously disadvantaged ) rides with his old bike and takkies, and rides the crap out of the older guys in the 56km. It's all about media and attention, got boggerol to do with development. Big companies only get into this for the limelight.

No complaints here. Great route, TOUGH, but great. Amazing singeltrack, but I would like to see some more technical sections.
