  1. Started doing intervals for the first time yesterday and amazing what you can achieve in under 25 minutes and be completely buggered. Did a total of 6km's with a pace of 3:30min/km for 1-2 km's, rest was just under 4min/km. Short jogging breaks in between with a warm up and warm down.
  2. Was getting something similar recently. Think it was from my deodorant that contains aluminium that blocks your skin pores - Stops you sweating.
  3. Same thing happened to me last night. Only the steps registered but run was over 30 min with correct heart rate etc.
  4. Bwahaha. My legs don't like the downhills. Some runners just go for it.
  5. Have you guys ever run up a hill and past a cyclist? Can't believe it happened to me going up Southern Cross Drive this weekend. Passed a couple people. Wasn't even running fast. 5 min/km
  6. Haha. Like in Ireland during my recent scouting trip. We saw one electric fence to keep animals in a pen. One strand only.
  7. Completely agree. Go to a specialist running shop. Let them analyze how you run and recommend the appropriate shoes. I made the mistake of buying a pair of maxed shoes. Too narrow and they don't have a size big enough to fit me. Nobody in the shop to help with my purchase... First run with them I had to end short as my feet were so sore.
  8. I think it's relative to your line speed, the faster your line the higher quality the streaming will be. With netflix you can download shows, maybe download a series if your friend has lot's of cap etc. I also share my internet with neighbours... Wifi extender in window so that they can connect.
  9. Remember with Netflix etc you will now need more data. Uncapped with mweb is not actually uncapped. Crazy why they call it that then.
  10. Does any body have any links or suggestions for strength training? Realise with just running my body gets sore. Went to gym today and instead of running did the controlled weights circuit and then ran home. Also started stretching more often. Right knee often gets sore after a run.

  12. Anybody who can assist: Wear my Garmin, wife's Garmin and treadmill hr during a run. My watch reads 122bpm till approx 12 minutes then falls inline with the other hr monitors. Warrenty claim? So my runs must always be 45minutes or for 15 minutes I must push it to get the average hr high enough.
  13. Yeah. No way am I driving to the gym to swipe just to get points and then leaving.
  14. Was wanting to try get it every week but I guess I must be realistic. These things happen.
  15. How do you guys reach your weekly goal if you are sick? What a pain, I would love to run but don't want to do more damage.

  17. So you switch them on and off via the switch, can play and volume up and down from the headphones. Rest via the app.
  18. Yes . Download the app and you can adjust the noise level cancelling.
  19. A huge congrats to any runner who does the comrades. Such an achievement.
  20. I managed a 1 40 half marathon with honestly not loads of training. Run twice a week with my club doing 10km's and then sometimes a weekend run. My foot was stuffed post race as my longest run before the half was the 10km run's. Started running less than a year ago so it is doable.

  24. Chromecast is also very simple to setup. Takes under 5 minutes.
