  1. Have only used the Conti's. Probably not the fastest or the lightest but they are outstanding for puncture resistance.
  2. As Tankman often says on these forums - buy the bike that is going to make you happiest to get up and go ride it. If the Pinarello looks great why not go for it? I doubt the level of engineering is going to make that much of a difference unless you are riding the pro-circuit. In which case you would be riding the Dogma
  3. I might be under pressure with the family, but going to do my best to be there again!
  4. I wouldn't try and fix that dude. Get hold of CWC and get a brand new one with Kium rails for R700. Best price on the planet!
  5. I've got Specialized The Captain UST's on at the moment and very happy with them in all conditions (mainly dry so far). I am just going to leave them on for Sani.
  6. Thanks guys, that was great fun and learnt some new routes, although everything looks different in the dark! Special thanks to Tankman for hosting. Look forward to the next one.

    2012 XT

Interesting... I had full XO & Avid brakes on my previous bike for just over a year and on my new steed I have a combo of XT & XTR which I rate as superior in every aspect. I guess it just comes down to personal experience. PS: I buy everything from Chris Jnr at CWC so customer service is equally great for SRAM and Shimano.
  8. Not quite! My Sani2C partner
  9. I'm in for tonight Tankman and bringing a friend. See you there.

    Please explain further?
  11. Here is my Santa Cruz Tallboy
  12. I will be in Plett and can ride on 23rd-25th April. Keep me posted!
  13. It's a fairly skilled group but pretty laid back. I think they normally ride on the R44 to Eden. Climb to the top and then do most of the singletrack and G-Spot. Lights are definitely required. Not too sure who the organiser is but all are welcome.
  14. There is one that leaves from the Steynsrust Bridge in Somerset West at 18:00 on Tuesday nights.
  15. I think you need a couple of 2 day consecutive long rides (3-4 hours)built into your program to prepare for how your body and legs will feel on Day 2. Even though it is the ride the pace is still fairly intense and you will be sore on Day 2.
  16. Well said 101SCC!
  17. What are you waiting to see? Results have been on Racetec since early this morning.
  18. Yes - Anyone know what happened with Frail?
  19. 03:10. The goal was not to crash so I can finally make it to Sani2C in one piece Well done on achieving your goal!
  20. Didn't see him - but that is good going!
  21. @Velouria - I think your mate had slicks on (White Scott SPark?)
