  1. My point exactly!
  2. Frosty if you are going to allow substitutions, then it should be for all and not just withdrawn riders. I have a few non performers I woul like to get rid of. Also what about team substitutions?
  3. Aah, just seen your profile Zac. Your 14 and you enjoy the bling factor of JOC and all the models hanging around Newport/pepenero/wakame & wafu. No harm in that! Just watch out for Brianwaters on Beach road, he might just run you over...
  4. I've got mates that live Atlantic side who prefer to use BMC for servicing or Revolution cycles in town for servicing/purchases as they feel they get better service and value for money. I have no issue with JOC, I remember him when he worked for Willie Engelbrecht and personally found him abrupt and I preferred dealing with Willie. I take it you work their Zac?
  5. Suspect he is not servicing the whole Atlantic coast as there are plenty bike shops with a better rep. John is/was a decent cyclist but could learn a thing or two about dealing with customers.
  6. Because I would rather invest my R1100 in Assos from CWC with no bike shop branding...
  7. Why would anyone pay such big money to advertise such a small bike shop??? Give me a set for free and I wil consider wearing it for week day training rides...
  8. On paper Radioshack looked a certainty for Team Honours. After Week 1, no longer...
  9. XTR SPD's are the bomb and absolutely bulletproof. Tried various Crankbrothers and always end up with something jamming or breaking.
  10. It sounds like there are sufficient cases on here for it to be fact.
  11. As much as I love Mtb I like to start the Argus as close to the front as possible to avoid unnecessary carnage, hence the grudge purchase.
  12. Agree on the Assos, both the bib and the cream. I just got a new carbon Arione CX that is super comfortable and as light as any SLR, give it a try if you can.
  13. I will renew but. It feels like a grudge purchase... PPA really need to work on their service level.
  14. Holy smoke! Did Swissvan pick his team today?
  15. I like twitchy!
  16. With that saddle height I think you will have to go with the 57. Out of interest what's the problem in running a shorter stem?
  17. T-Mobile - At 1.78m the 54 sounds like the size to go for. Get it fitted and decide the stem length and height on the basis of the fitting.
  18. The LOOK really is gorgeous but they have to sort out that Fugly stem... Have to agree with the boys that the Cervelo is one ugly looking bike. Although their design is problably moving technologically forward, in terms of design they seem to have lost the plot after the goregeous 2008/9 R3 SL. IMHO the Pinarello Dogma connot be beaten on looks. That is one sexy bike!
  19. Hi Bontie, I just checked the Dogma geometry chart. The Dogma 54 has a 56cm seat tube and 55cm top tube.
  20. I beg to differ, Most Pinarellos come out in a 54 which is almost equivalent to a compact 56cm with a slightly shorter top tube (55.7cm)
  21. Traditional sizing vs compact sizing. The 56 pinarello is indeed 56cm on the top tube but if you measure centre of bb to top tube you will get 58cm. This is similar for most traditional frame sizes. Bent bids are of no consequence.
  22. Athena, What exactly happened with Neil?
  23. Specialized The Captain Control 2Bliss on the front and Specialized Fast Track 2Bliss on the back.
  24. Definitely need to change your brakepads. A set of Swisstop Yellow will run you about R500 or you could go for a cheap set of RAV X cork pads for around R200, but the Swisstop are the best in all weather conditions.
