  1. @Airbender - You still haven't given anyone your time? All your talk in the run up to the Argus, I thought you would be doing a Sub 3 for sure.
  2. Have to agree. I am a big Specialized fan and their stand was a major dissapointment, hardly any selection and cyclelab prices. They were selling bottle cages for R220 that the Coimbra stand had identical for R180, with 10% off yesterday! CWC had awesome specials, got myself a good Conti tyre/tube deal and got out of there.
  3. Get a Garmin Edge 500. Better software than polar and no need for wheel magnet and speed sensor etc. as it is GPS driven.
  4. I have been using the Cane Creek Ergo grips for a good few years now. A bit heavier but very very comfy on the long climbs.
  5. I am also in D and I think the chances are slim mate. Even if by some miracle the weather is as good as '08, you still need to factor in Boyes Drive whcih will add 5 minutes, so the winner of D might just sneak in under 3. Look at 03:10-3:15.
  6. Medallion is only 100 km's with a small speedbump at the beginning so it can't really be compared to the Argus. Think the 99'er should be similar timewise all things being equal (with the wind...)
  7. Sounds like you know what you should be paying.... Personally I would put parts of that quality on a carbon frame
  8. Speak to Malan or Heino at Cycle Addiction 021 851 8021, just off main road Somerset West. Best in the area in my opinion.
  9. Take a look at the Dukan diet on the web
  10. I think their focus is on speed, hence very light tyres with minimal Stans/Joe's.
  11. I'm with the seller here. A lot of guys display interest and then you don't here anything. You should sell to whoever suits you, unless of course you have indicated you would hold the goods until a specific time for someone. That obviously did not happen here. I have sold a lot of stuff on the hub and some "buyers" really give you the run around. I am sure you wouldn't have Slick but just a different perspective.
  12. Chris is a good guy. I have always had great service from CWC.
  13. Hi there, I am about to change my road wheels to full carbon clinchers. Is it absolutely essentially that I get carbon brake blocks or can I just leave as is? If I need to change where should I buy? Thanks, JD
  14. I agree. Have used both and Candy's need a bit of maintenance.
  15. Buy the bike and I will swop my SLX for the Mavics.
  16. Colonel
  17. Guys, nice thread! Looks like you had a lot of fun. I live in the West and have done these trails a couple of times, so give me a shout for your next ride and I am in.
  18. LOL! Nice one Peter.
  19. Jonkershoek closed....
  20. They are pretty heavy mostly.
  21. Very unfortunate. Great Argus warm up....
  22. My 2c worth.... If you want the looks go for Mavic. If you want performance at a fair price go Easton (or get JB to build you a set!).
