UCI has confirmed RSA qualify 3 women!!

This still needs to be confirmed - teams had till 31/05/2012 to collect UCI points - eventhough there were no more UCI races since UCI published its unofficial list. I doubt anyone on thehub can make an informed decision on who to send - unless if you have been following the women's progress up close in Europe. The selectors will have to decide to send 2 sprinters and one support or 1 sprinter and 2 support.

That's Jo (Slo_Jo) in the pic, she was involved in a crash before this and had a blow-out while getting back to the bunch. She hit her head hard and was unconcious for two minutes but talkative now. She was taken to the hosptital for a check-up. Nothing broken and is currently having a head scan taken to make sure all is well. She wanted to do so well in this tour, but such is life Strong cross winds and straight roads hence the many crashes cos of wheels touching!

No pictures from the Womens Tour of Luxembourg which took place a week and a half ago? The SA ladies riding for Lotto did pretty well there. Jo finished 12th on GC, Ash 11th on GC and Cherise got 5th on the final stage.

I agree and managers should work together for the benefit women's cycling! MTN and Momentum had riders represented in the break - did Bizhub expect help from their team mates to close down the break.

Carol Austin: Very disappointed 4 @LiseOlivier. Cone bolt in disc hub came loose during TT. Wheel moved laterally with every pedal stroke, rubbing frame. That explains why my prediction for 3rd was wrong! @SwissVan I'm not sure if the team will watch the TT
