  1. I dig this guys YouTube channel...
  2. Hi. My opinion is that this is another one of those topics which, no matter what, is totally dependent on your own personal views and will have "valid" opinions both for and against. Further, no amount of discussion is likely to change anyone's point of view either. The only likely results are a bit of view sharing, some sparring and, after a while, we all go on with our lives regardless of what was written here. Happy Friday!

    Cricket......

My gosh, what a shame this goes on without much punishment or uproar!

Any sign of reverse swing after the 30th over? :-)

    Cricket......

What amazes me is that they do it so openly with so many cameras around to detect the behaviour... Almost no chance of not getting caught...
  6. This debate can and will go on. However, cars offer drivers much more protection than cyclists and we will always, always come off second best. Therefore, as cyclists we should do all we can to stay safe while riding not only for ourselves but for everyone that cares for us. So, bottom line, please all stay safe out there and do whatever you can not to have an accident. Your life is totally worth it!
  7. I have the XP1 from a few years back. Really like the quality of their products!
  8. All the best Mojoman, but I am sure 2016 will be much better than 2015 for you!
  9. I was also about to suggest Sportsworld.co.za. Anyone wearing their bibs - reviews?? Cheers.
  10. Hi there. I was looking at these shoes yesterday at Leigh's Cycle Centre at the Pav..., Ciao.
  11. Hi. I have a 2014 Anthem X1. Highly recommended!
  12. Ha ha
  13. Agree with the above responses - wheel size is not what really matters. To me it would be which bike, i.e. overall fit and feel, suits her best. Thus, some sort of test ride, even if it is a short one, would be highly recommended. One other thing to take into consideration - you basically can't give away 26" bikes these days, they are really not that popular anymore. This only matters, though, if you want to sell it some time down the road. Hope this helps, use it or don't, cheers.
  14. It's not at all about the bike :-)))
  15. After the links to Cycle Science maybe??
  16. Mini hijack: Hi JB. I am looking at buying another pair of mtb shoes and was wondering in what way was the stiff carbon soled S-works waaaaay more comfy? My brain would seem to think that the opposite would be true and thats why I ask. I have never had carbon soled shoes before.... Hijack over, thanks!
  17. A good kind of nuts . I think you will enjoy whichever one you get!
  18. Hey Bullet, me again. The Anthem has plenty travel and the components used are creamy smooth and more than sufficient. I would not get too tied up with specs - I can assure you that the Anthem's all work very well. PS, I have already changed the wheelset though - I have a set of normal AM classics on. Mmmmmm, I LOVE my bike! Ciao.
  19. Hey Bullet. I really like the 2x10 set up as it is so simple and noiseless. In my opinion it offers the widest range of gear choice for the least amount of mechanical effort (hope you understand what I mean by that!). The specs on the Giant SA website say that the Anthem should come with a 11-36 cassette - I would recommend that you make sure that it is fitted for you just for that extra low down gear in case it is needed. I come from a 3x9 set up and mechanically speaking, I prefer the 2x10. I have also yet to ride anywhere where 2x10 is not enough. Hope this helps....
  20. Hi, I have this years Anthem X1. I LOVE it, it is light and fast for a dual suspension bike! However, my first ever mtb was a Silverback 26er and I still have it - it is now my daughters bike..! I really think whichever you go for you will be happy. However, I would advise the Giant because I am biased toward it Ciao.
  21. Hi. My Giant Anthem 29er 2014 Fox CTD setup works very well so far. No complaints from me!

    Cricket......

My take away from this series.... talk is cheap, saying you are the best side in the world and BEING the best side in the world are two totally different things. And so is being the best and staying the best.... WELL DONE AUSSIES, I really hope that you have woken our cricketers up out of any false beliefs and hopes!

    Cricket......

Guys, we won! Graham S has flaws but he is still a good cricketer and not a bad captain. Nice to see Morne coming to the party eventually and Hashim in the runs again. MJ is a rejuvenated fast bowler who has helped Aus to come back strongly in world cricket, for the good of world cricket imho. Will he always be the destroyer in chief? No, no one ever is. Will he be scary fast on faster pitches? Yes! Just ask some English and SA batsmen!! Dale Steyn is a class act in his own right but he bowls differently to MJ. And MJ bowls like Ausies always have played cricket - with aggression, looking to take the other team out physically and psychologically. However, we still won and at least have leveled the series! Well done Proteas, I did not think you would do it.

    Rugby...

After tonight's performance, it looks like the Bulls have a long Super season in front of them. Go Sharks, awesome way to start a campaign! Just got to keep it going.....
