  1. Dude, I am sure if you took it back to them they would have swopped it out for you - as long as you didn't use it? And your topic heading is the only thing misleading. I am almost 100% sure they didn't do it on purpose because the price was different. If they had the same price for both models then maybe, but you chose the cheapest option, you got what you paid for. If you buy something from Cajee's or Solomons you have to take responsibility for it, they offer good products at cheap prices, they are shopkeepers, nothing more. They don't ride bikes, they don't live bikes. If you want expert service or advice then go somewhere where the people selling you the dope are also using the dope. Linden Cycles, Mike's Bikes, Cycle Tech midrand, Summit Cycles, there are many more... It's like going to buy your wine at checkers, do you expect to get advice from the shop floor or do you pick yourself? if you choose a *** vintage you cant take it back and complain.
  2. Second that! I just don't know what you mean when you say you forget about everything when you are "behind bars" ... in prison or in pubs? You are a strange guy. I ride because when I was a boy my father made me race... at the time didn't appreciate it as much as i should have... now, I feel that I have to make up for a gap of 10 years and I cycle almost EVERY DAY!!!
  3. Was referred to them by Pyga - purchased my Zero 29 frame from Kelly, really great communication, awesome follow up, so far very impressed!!! Even though I gave them R6k upfront and waiting for the frames to arrive, they made the process fun with their great service so far!
  4. hey martin, like the_break said, ride the 20's for a while... when u start finishing them in the top 15 spots you will know when its time to move on to bigger races!
  5. And you bigmouth, which one you going to do? Still waiting for my invite to join the crackendale brigade on a ride?
  6. Very nice, You certainly have good taste (most of the time). "stanchion colour" sounds so dirty.... all my stanchion's are kashima covered, buttery smooth... so those wont fit my bikes... Fishing around for something sexy... that'l suit the Pyga Zero29? what you recon?
  7. Robo... get your own cause before you start dishing out judgements you old clunker! So what if the dude want's to have a bit of fun while doing good for the community... he did say he was going to donate/auction it. I say strip it down, hack off the hangers, and then have it powder coated white. you can also have the calipers coated in same colour, or different. fix it up nice and auction/donate it.
  8. Oooooooh, nice.... was just checking those Fatbars on the interwebs last nite!!! Is that the "gold" colour???
  9. LOL< why don't you just change the grips, give it a wash, cut all cables/hoses as short as possible... and then claim its weight to be 8.99kg's... You won't be the first one on the hub to shave some weight.... If someone call's you out then you just change the topic to what the bike costs, and if they make you weight it infront of them use the airport luggage scale trick, lifting/supporting the bag bike with a big toe?
  10. Would you say you are an average swimmer, I mean, compared to a "Barry", sorry I mean Ryk... or would he burry you?
  11. RABUBI, just out of interest, where do you store your bikes... ? Maybe it has something to do with your bad luck.
  12. Did you guys here Wiggo's comments - he joked that they will be caught, and hopefully sent to a football game as punishment?
  13. Plan is to run Pyga as 1x10 and BigTop as SS cuz it can take SS dropout chips!
  14. Amazon.com, no duties, only vat.
  15. Waiting for my Zero29 frame .... All parts ready except fork and frame...

  17. Clint, I agree - a 1kg saving will totally be wasted on you! And to be honest, I think most people underestimate the level of AVERAGE cyclist... I personally think it's much higher than what most of you think it is.
  18. Don't ever underestimate the placebo effect induced by an awesome bicycle. if you love your bike, and other people are all simply green about it, then you go faster, even if only in your mind. and even if you don't go faster, but simply love your bike, then who cares, it does make a difference, even only if to yourself. it might not make financial or scientific sense to drop $$$$ on fancy top of the line components, but it does feel goooood...... And life is too short to deny yourself cycling pleasures.... For me, the technology is part and parcel of my cycling experience...
  19. Randburg area - can personally only suggest Linden Cycles or Mike Bikes. Or you can just pop around my house, we can have a quick look-see for you....

Must be the colour that confuses you... I bet when you see a babe wearing green you strike up a conversation about her reminding you of a crakendale?
  21. Can't believe that it's a dud... Would suggest you get someone to strip-it, clean-it, check-it, and bleed-it....
  22. LOL - no I hooked GT1 up with a shiney new Reverb 2012...
  23. Lol, you ride like a girl... doesn't that count?
  24. Don't forget the white grips boyee!!!
  25. That's not a crack, just the join - go ride your bike! (Very nice bike, need one of those... perfect for a coffee, bread, milk run) Those reflectors have to GO!!! By the simple fact that they were still attached to the "2nd hand" bike I think you picked up a bargain.
