  1. I recon it's a pathetic dog walker with his/her fat ass and no love/passion for life trying to take their own misery out on us fun loving mtb'ers. What they should do is tie that to their legs and go jump in one of the dams, no one will miss them.
  2. Probably also going to remove the seat stay decals, they look redundant and out of place.... I think the decals and branding need to go back to the drawing board...
  3. NO NO NO!!! Don't listen to these clueless clipless planks. Just get a pair of proper platform pedals, and then invest in a pair of decent riding shoes. Cant go wrong with some FiveTen Minnaar's.
  4. Ok, so I finally got my frame today!!! So I can also confirm the Large weighs in at 1.815kg's including the rear axle and cable guides. Not bad, because it's almost 200g lighter than my Yeti BigTop also Large. Not sure about the raw finish, but I suppose this will really depend on personal taste and preference. One thing I can confirm, is that the welds are not nearly as neat or nice as my Yeti's or Tomac, they are simply just not nearly as nice... The actual tubing and general frame design is really hot!!! I think the headtube sticker is a really stupid idea and looks crappy, it needs a proper badge, a nice cast P or something would have been much better, mine is going to be ripped off, I really hope they design something nice and send out free upgrade kits to us early adopters. My frame is Serial #005 - kinda cool!!!! Here is a crappy mobile phone pic, build will start later this week, will keep you guys posted on final build and progress.
  5. It's not a common problem, but it does/can happen. You should check/torque all your bolts at +-150km intervals in any case, especially caliper bolts, stem bolts and suspension bolts. Whatever you do, don't over tighten.
  6. Wow, not this again? Search the forums..... Get a Garmin edge 500, best features, battery, rugged and awesome support by Garmin SA.
  7. Lol, unless.... you happen to be a super hot girl, then we start a group especially for you, and call it sexy hottie and we dont care how fast you ride...
  8. Yeah, 27.5 would be awesome for you G.
  9. Building is more expensive by about 30% for a comparable spec. However, you get exactly what you want and won't end up in the "upgrading" trap. But if you are the kind of guy who can buy a scott, spez or giant off the floor and be happy with it, then buy - nothing wrong with that. However, nothing beats the pleasure you get from building your own bike to your specifications/components. *when I talk about building I refer to buying a boutique brand frame that you don't see commonly sold on shop floors....
  10. Confused, really... So did you come out the closet?
  11. Cute, you want to like someone back... broke-back-like-back function missing? Feeling like some hug-a-hubber bromance?... I gave you a like, it's only good manners to lick me like me back... LOL
  12. Agreed 100%, I don't ever talk to him, I just wanna give him a PK. Because of him I've never taken the bait on a Cruz... every time i've had the urge. he just happened to be the only oke in the shop... They should send him to work at Cajee's or the Post Office
  13. fixed it Oh man, I just cant help myself, you started this game... all tonsils who can't afford prado's or X5's drive Fortuners, they are the ones causing kuk.
  14. Mike and the fatish dude are really cool, if you talk about the tjop who looks like a skinny jezus then I feel you.... he's a:
  15. Lol, if they threw out a pie, would you eat it or throw it back?
  16. "And I hate to generalize" then DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like saying you like fat chicks, it's not entirely true...
  17. Sounds really sexy!!!
  18. Just give JB a call, don't be shy... he doesn't bite.... contrary to popular belief or urban legend, he's actually a really nice guy!!!!
  19. I'm addicted to building bikes... btw, not only building for myself anymore.... Building wheels are like hanging/adjusting doors... I'm not getting into that... not anytime soon in any case... You said "Easton wheels"... just had a small wet dream...
  20. Dont be a cheapie... Nipples are expensive, if you go to teasers you pay far more than R6.95 for a couple of nipples... And in any case, even if the nipples were R7 x 64 = R244 for two wheels then what are you really crying about?
  21. Hey man, just go with JB/YellowSaddle. 1. You won't get ripped off on the price 2. They won't do a *** job 3. They have a spoke making maschjien 4. Built 1000's of wheels Stop mucking around and get JB to do it.
  22. No... Maybe... Perhaps... if you bring a hot sister, gf or wife...
  23. I agree, just like patches says.... Although Red, White or any other colour except GOLDISH rims are for tappets....
  24. 40/28 with a 11/36 should be fine for anyone "who must have XTR". Unless you are dik... if you use XTR your bike should be light and you should have the legs for the "Race" chainset. If not, just get XT, it's half the price and it's awesome.
  25. what he said....
