  1. Don't forget the white grips boyee!!!
  2. That's not a crack, just the join - go ride your bike! (Very nice bike, need one of those... perfect for a coffee, bread, milk run) Those reflectors have to GO!!! By the simple fact that they were still attached to the "2nd hand" bike I think you picked up a bargain.
  3. Thanks CAAD4 - the rear triangle is in fact carbon... so it's a 50carbon/50alu mixed frame. It has to be seen in real life to appreciate the engineering and design of it. Other nice bits include the 142mm thru-axle rear, especially with the Easton Haven wheels - it's super stiff... I have totally fallen in love with the easton haven range... those there are the haven carbon bars and carbon seatpost.
  4. On paper/pre-build calc's it should have been around 10.5kg's.... however the XTR crank issue plus some other oddities pushed me over a bit... that and even though Yeti claims a 1.8kg frame weight, my size Large weighs quite a bit more than that... SUPER HAPPY with the 142mm rear end and Easton Haven wheels are bomb!!!!
  5. YETI Big Top 29er....
  6. That cape town air must be messing with your scrooples.... Real men drive VW Amarok's
  7. Fox is funny like that! Black = Talas White = Float
  8. but it's a YETI? XTR chainset has issues with chainstay clearance..... oh well, now I just have to find some other frame for the XTR chainset
  9. Actual weight, full bike, pedals and all.... 10.83kg
  10. Time for her to make her hub debut.... First ride today at Rietvlei Everything build-wise went according to plan, except for the stupid XTR chainset not fitting
  11. Must be all the oysters, cycling.... and schex that makes you blind?
  12. Are you allowed to take pictures at the "launch"? Bring us home some bike porn!!!
  13. Seriously, I don't think R20 is an unfair or unreasonable charge by any means. Nothing in life is for free... They could have possibly done something else in the time it took them to fix your cheap-ass wheel. For example, they could have done a tubeless conversion for R2000 and made R 1400 profit. You won't part with your R20 now, how easily will you part with it when the owner of a bankrupt cycling shop is collecting small change with a mug at the robot?
  14. LOL @ 3x9... what's that?
  15. that's just crazy...
  16. NICE!!!! And i'm going to tell you the same thing I tell o'll patches... get some WHITE grips!
  17. Oh god do I love my SB-66... it's the awesomeness of awesomeness... I have been tinkering away in my workshop on a little HT black beauty for a while, patiently expecting parts from 10 different countries over 5 weeks... got some awesome goodies on her... she's stealth black, forged from the ungodly union of of metal and carbon.... laced with Easton Haven Carbon components, finished off with some Thomson trick bits... she has BIG wheels.... I hope to breed her with my SB-66.....
  18. (Giggle) All plastic bikes should come standard with white grips... to make it POP!....
  19. Congratulations!!!! Really nice Bike Peter! What Chainset is that ..X9, it looks metalish and square, fits the rest of the bike perfectly
  20. Hoooooo... that's sexy! Didn't know you were expecting.... I'm so dying to make my new black baby's reveal... So CLOSE!
  21. That BB section looks very similar to the StumpJumper FSR 29er's... almost squarish/fat.... like a platform...I don't personally like that BB part/design... overall the bike does look pretty hot in black plastic and love the blue pinstripes... Jirre it POPS!!!!
  22. Hey - where's the pictures at of the carbon 29erHT?
