  1. West rand to far for me, plus i have linden 15min away, but if they have eager-young-actual-cyclists in store then i hope they do really well!
  2. funny...
  3. Exactly that! +they call you when they say they will check up on something and get back to you +their prices are at least 10% lower on the actual ticket than almost any shop i know +they have good amount of stock +no attitudes or "personalities" to deal with
  4. Also, cost wise 29er forks rather expensive and not that many good deals, especially if you looking at taper versions with 15mm axles, budget 7k to 10k for forks alone
  5. Do we look like personal shoppers to you? do you think we hang around on thehub waiting to serve you? Lol, just kidding, what are you trying to do? Frames are around 7k to 20k, material, brand and weight dependant.
  6. I personally avoid LBS's From time to time I need anything urgently, they are my first call. Just today, I got some 5.1 dot fluid from them. Earlier in the week they had some rotors and adaptors no one in jhb had. Best thing about them is they have the highest ratio of actual cyclists working in the shop, giving them experiencing unmatched by most other shops....
  7. Best way to start the morning... in FLAMES!!!! Btw, those baskets will look so nice on all youz 29er bikes!
  8. Might even be the same person/model in Exhibit A and C?
  9. 1. You state that you KNOW it's not good etiquette to punt products on first post - but you do it? 2. You try and bypass what you think is "link" control by putting spaces in your http links - which by the way, you can post links... www.youSUCK.COM? See no spaces? 3. Then you get one of your China's to bump your post?Another person with post count of 0, but justs happens to stumble across your lonely post and comments on it? PS> products and website does look nice by the way.
  10. ~say what? context connected to thehub or are you too cereas?
  11. @TNT, I agree - this must have been the worst technical advice/discussion on the hub - ever!!!!
  12. Quick notes: Mr. awesme weights like 60-70kg's tops, he doesn't need anything but 160/160mm Rotors, especially if we are talking proper Ice-Tech's - and in that case, he needs model RT-86, which is 6-bolt. The pics shows he has OEM Shimano DEORE (not SLX/XT/etc). His hubs are not centre-lock.

WOW - where do I get turquoise grips? they will look so "nice"...
  17. Yes, should have put XTR's on... went with XX because I wanted to use matchmakers with shifters.....
  18. The main problem I have is there is almost no play on the caliper, it's tight, so tight there is no play for alignment.?

  21. Busy building up my new ride. YETI SB-66 FOX Factory 36 Kashima 160mm 20mm/142-12mm back SRAM XX Groupset Easton Haven: Wheels, Carbon Bars, Stem Reverb Post, Gobi Saddle
  22. Busy building my new bike. Have no experience with XX brakes and it's driving me crazy. I'm using 185mm rotors, my frame is postmount 160. I'm using the XX 160>185 Post-2-Post adapter, bolts and spacers... Problem I'm having is when I tighten the bolts until the the frame, adapter and spacers/washers make first contact then the caliper immediately stops being movable/adjustable or align-able. This makes it impossible to align the caliper with the rotor to stop rub. Any suggestions?
  23. Which frame, did I miss that part?
  24. Maybe we should have a All-Mountain build-off.... with pictures...
