  1. Hello hubbers. I might be moving to Kenya, Im trying to find out what the mtb scene is like there. I found some insta accounts but they are non responsive. Has anyone ridden there? Has anone got any info on where to ride close to Nairobi? Thank you!
  2. I’m extremely uninformed but these okes must maar moer each other. As long as my garmin works I’m happy. But… will be negative if I have to run strava on my phone and use my watch. My watch talks to Strava and Strava talks to probike garage. Mind you need to check if I can just get Garmin to talk to it. Edit: Seems like it can’t. Soomer makes me a bit negative cause I remember paying for the probike app now they also have some kind of subscriptions… Anyway if any else uses Probike Garage and has a way to sync it without Strava pls let menknown
  3. Hahaha! True but my longest ride in the last 4 years is probably 15km so I don’t need a whole lot of stuff just the water thats my issue. Luckilly this thing can manage 3L of water and maybe a can or two of some isotonic drink so I won’t have to stop at the car to refil or hope there is something in the cominity cooler box at the top of the hill.
  4. So the Mule hip bag arrived today. I like the fit and feel. I am a little disspointed at the packing capacity. I think once the bladder is full there will not be space for much else. Thankfully there are the twonbottle pockets or whatever and I can strap both my knee pads vas with the nettung bungy cord thing on the pack. So not overly impressed but satisfied.
  5. Just googled that Leat pack. Looks NICE!! But I can imagine the bladder to be a pain.
  6. Ordered from here https://visionvelo.eu/find-product-by-brand-amp-model/ Really lekker mud guard.
  7. I had this little blue pack to start with. Could fit my phone a piesang and a gel in there. then I got this Deuter one. That one was actually really lekker. Next was a Camlebak Kudu which in theory seems lekker but it is heavy and hot. I got a lekker trail running pack, not sure what model it is but wirks lekker for solo hikes, runs. First hip pack was the Flow I think. But like one of the first models. Works really well but I’m tired of having to go back to the car to refil water etc. And I was looking for something that could take water and snaks for me and the boys so thats why I got this new Mule hip pack. 1.5L bladder and two water bottol jacks that apparantly can hold a long tom quite well… I’m really into the hip packs at the moment it is nice to feel more ventilated. Esp here in the tropics.
  8. Hey guys. I have a 27.5” 170mm RC2 Lyric that I want to sell. Will bring it with me in December. Comes with a lot of extras. Thought I would ask here before I gooi it in the classifieds.
  9. That first line is spot on. I get a little uit *** everytime I get one but I swear one does not fit all.
  10. I have used so many different back pack style packs and they are lekker but do not feel lekker on hot days. i started using a small Camelbak waist pak that has a bigish compartment. I SQUASH my phone, keys, two bars, tools and a gel or two in there. Then it has a SMALL zip pouch for cards cash or in my case a buff. It has a spot for a waterbottel. I switch between the 500ml and 750ml podium bottel and neither have fallen out. Yesterday I ordered the Mule waist pack. I did so because I can carry more water when hiking with my kids and has space for trail snacks for the two of them. Edit: My spelling.
  11. While replacing my frames bearings I noticed that the tread on the chain stay is buggered. Seems like it was an issue on the 2019 GG bikes and while they were still around they did warranty replacements on them and I can get a fresh one from Canfield but luckily there is another solution, a sex bolt. Any way. This whole thing had me pondering a new frame. Does not seem like there are too many options out there that are not MX esp frame only options.
  12. Haha! Can’t remember where I found those but they work lekker. Need to see if I can find a place that can put some new velcro on there tho.
  13. Wonder if I could go the same route with my 3? Glad you got sorted! I have always had good service from Garmin SA.
  14. Thats how the race face one fits on a Ranger (The only bakkie that really matters)
  15. You have probably bought it by now but with this one you can remove that patch and then the rear view camera can still see. i have this one and is a lekker pad.
  16. Had such a jol today. Best bike purchase I have made in a while. got a bit over excited on a jump and bottomed out and crashed bit other than that the ring stayed pretty much there. Will take out the volume spacer and go again. My front end feels a lot more planted. Super glad I got it. Thanks for the advice guys.
  17. Got this at my Lbs’s half off sale. It has so many functions, most excited to see how quickly it can deflate my car tires for beach drives.
  18. Got this little ratchet. Super small little nifty thing.
  19. Well there she is. Super excited to give it a go.
  20. I enjoy chasing my times on some segments. Kind of keeps me motivated and I like to push myself every now and then. But all the other extra info is wasted on me. I would explore the maps tho and look for new hiking/riding trails so that could be usefull. Heatmaps here helps a lot as trails are not maintained so to see where people work out helps me decide if I should yake my machete or not 😂
  21. I hear you. In my case I found some old forest trails and just did too many km to quickly.
  22. Close to 3 months now. Walk all day tho so it is not helping but with stretches and strength training it is slowly improving. Might go see a PT next week to see if they have different ideas as to what I should be doing.
  23. Howzit everyone. I have been enjoying this "free" trial that Strava had going on, was lekker to see segment details etc. Got me wondering if it might not be worth it to subscribe to the app. As a Garmin user I wonder if I won't get more use out of their app? Are you using one of the two or both? Any negatives or positives?
  24. Hey run chums. Im SUFFERING from plantar atm. Found this and it makes sense (well to me) I have been doing this and have found some relief.

    510 Rant

I was expecting this reply from them but it still stings... I would have to send them back to the US which would make it cheaper for me to just buy a new pair. Not that I am, I'll glue them. I was hoping they would say something to the tune of sending them somewhere here in Asia, I mean I'm sure there must be a spot around here that would be able to handle this. Any way. Going to be relocating again soonish so hopefully wherever I end up there is a shop with options and I don't have to online shop.
