Thanks for everyones replies and tips on this tread. I recovered a week ago and thought I would give the bike a go. Was an interesting experience. HR was high 191 where it was 144 on the last time I rode which was on 28 Jan. Or can I just get that unfit in a month? I was out of breath and pushed my bike quite often. Was only a 6km ride but it is STEEP up and down. I also rode at 13:00 with the temp at 31 and a HIGH humidity so not sure if that had anything to do with it?

Yea I did some research before ordering my 1st pair of 510’s and they fit perfectly. I want to give the Leatt shoes a go but not sure how they compare size wise to the 510.

How is the fir compared to the 510's? I might have to order online as shops here don't really stock my size anything so just curious if I should order the same size as my 510's?

How about the enduro lines at Buffelsdrift? Then again I suppose pedaling a DH bike is not the most fun thing to do.

Had to buy some new tires the other day, lbs only had stock of Hansdamph and Magic Mary. I was reluctant to switch from maxxis but I'm glad I did. Really lekker tires. Also got this waist bag fanny pack thing because my back pack was just not working lekker in this heat and humidity. Have done a few rides with it now and its a lekker bag. I don't even notice it.

My hands sweat so much here my gloves are dripping wet after a ride. I forgot them once and the Death grips were still good.

I keep on getting that the file has been deleted. Anyone else have the same issue?

I got the thick death grips a while ago. Took a bit of getting used to but now I won’t use anything else.

I sweat bullets regardless. Did a run the other day and weighed myself before and after. I lost 2.5kg during a 5k run... I wear them when doing the more gravity focused stuff here but, I did a trail ride here the other day where I was pedaling more so I did not wear them, the trail is so overgrown with all sorts of stuff and while the nicks and scratches are not much they are not lekker. Suppose I should decide if riding with longs are going to be more lekker.

Hi guys. I'm thinking of getting long pants to ride in as I'm getting cut up by sticks and grass next to the trail. Problem is it is already hot and humid here so I'm looking for something that is not deigned for the winters up north. Does anyone know of a well ventilated pair of long mtb riding pants? Thanks.

I quit smoking AGAIN and we went into a lockdown here so not as much walking as I usually do. In three weeks I have gained 4kg. I'm running and doing the odd mtb ride. Not much has changed regarding my eating habits, not sure what to change. Any suggestions?

Hi guys/girls I plan on doing some after work rides and I’ll have to leave the bike in the car for the length of the work day. It gets pretty hot inside the car and I’m just wondering if the heat and repeatedly doing this will have any negative effects on the lifespan of seals, oils, grease or sealant? Thanks

Hi guys I used to spray Q8 on my dropper, shock and stanchions. I can’t find Q8 where I am now. I found some 3M Silicone spray, is silicone spray silicone spray or should I wait till I can get some off the Mucc Off silicone spray?
