  1. I use clean green on my carbon.
  2. Had Captain Control on my old 26" bike, they as awesume, they are very aggressive.
  3. I hate Racing ralphs... But that is just me. Have a set if Ikons in my garage but I am to lazy to fit them, I love my Crossmark because I hate fixing flats.
  4. I like that Demo and enduro... I want one...
  5. Join Mountainbikers do it downhill of FB, they are always hitting Thaba Trails near Alberton, Track 139 is actully not so bad, Thaba have a short DH track and that thing is brutal, it will kill you! Thaba is still busy building the 'main' track. And there is Helderkruin, bike I wasn't there before
  6. Nope Track 139 is on private property, that is also why there are not races at the track every time you are riding there you are actually trespassing. There are a lot of sluipslapers there so I would not go there alone, the DH track is on the other side of the N1 and I don't think there are a way to the other side.
  7. Trek http://www.imbikemag.com/mountain-bike-news/2014/06/26-27-5-29-trek-unravels-the-wheel-size-debate/

  9. Determination, Talent and the right Mindset, without one of them you will not be sucessful...
  10. When was it in for a good service?
  11. That is cheap even a student can afford it. Thinking of enterying, it will be my first stage race, but the day 2 looks like it can kill an unfit student from Pretoria...
  12. Upgraded last year I upgraded to a 29er Carbon, from a heavy Alu 26". I am tall at 1.92m and riding an XL. Had a DH 26" for 3 months and I would say for turning is the 26" king but on the open roads nothing will catch a 29er... I would say when riding marathon I would use a 29er and for XC i would use a 26". Would like to try out a 27.5" DH bike... But that is me...
  13. Maak soos Aaron Gwin gemaak het, ry soner 'n agterste band...
  14. Thanks I appresiate it! I know XC is more dangerous but some people only see what they want to see...
  15. Thanks, also have the same idea at the moment after some clear thinking, but how do I tell my perants about it, they think everything is dangerous, except XC.
  16. Well I do now LOL, 'a XC rider can clear every thing' The protection is what scare everyone, "why so may protection, it must so dangerous when you have to put on so many gear". I can get a Scott Ransom 2009 alu, but I think the frame will break in 2 when you hit jumps like Thaba.
  17. I know my limits, but I was stupid to think I can clear a 8m jump on my first run! They don't even want to come and see my ride so they don't even know what DH guys do. Think I will have enough money to buy an entry level bike by the end of July, but I don't want to buy a bike and then the whole fam doesn't talk to one another for a month.
  18. @nigelhicks is DH really dangerous? Had a DH bike for 3 months, had a bad fall and then my perants say DH is to dangerous and the medical aid doesn't cover dangerous sports. I am 20 but stay in the house while studying and I really want to do DH but I don't know what to do... Any advice?
  19. For around 300 bucks that is cheap. Think I will ask my friend to bring me one from the US...
  20. SRAM, I am not a Shimano fan...

I have Ralphs Evo, and I hate them! Got 5 flats in 80km on tar... I think I will put on Ikons first and see how it goes, or maybe crossmarks rear and Ikon front. Anyone know what happend to the Larsen TT?
  23. True story! Saw that little awful spelling mistake!
  24. Yes finally someone with the same problem as me! I am a riet and at 1.92m you can almost see thru me... I am eating whatever I want, when I want and nothing happens... Edit Spelling, thank you Karma...
