  1. Hi guys I need some technical assistance. Please view the attached pictures... I have purchased a second hand fork, if one looks at the images, the new fork is missing "the black ring" that goes on to the base of the steerer. Is this a separate part that I need to buy or can I remove it from my current fork? Also, what is called if I need to buy a new one. The previous owner had an adapter as he used it on a bike with a tapered headset.
  2. Probably was, they take in your defective unit and you get a new one at a discounted price. R2450 sounds low for an 810 though.
  3. R6500,No less than R6000. Not sure about the age of the bike, but it's 105 throughout for one, with okay-ish wheels.
  4. I currently have two spacers below the stem, the new fork will probably require the removal of one of them
  5. Yeah, that was my first thought, just worried that it's lower?
  6. Hi Guys I need some advice. I am in the process of buying a new fork / shock. The steerer is 168mm long. The steerer on my current shock is 175mm. From a bike a bike set up point of view, will this pose a problem?
  7. Would be interesting to know how many coffee shops use filtered water, especially in Cape Town, where the water isn't really a problem.
  8. Dpak, this your size? https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/89667-kask-vetigo-helmet-for-sale/
  9. That's a good price, only thing about the Rydons that I don't like is that they mist up quite a bit. Not sure if any other brands have the same problem.
  10. Thanks for the heads up, use that stretch of road as well.
  11. I hang my bikes by the front wheel? Any issue with this?
  12. Only red though? No plain black?
  13. I wear baggies over my bibs, because the shorts slip down at the back - my riding buddies don't want to see my crack!
  14. try magic shine, think its the MJ 808 http://www.magic-shine.co.za/
  15. enlighten me about this? I bought the magic shine type light, but after 1 summer I had to replace the battery, because it needs to be kept charged, and honestly, who remembers to keep a battery charged for 6 months.
  16. Brian, that's been my approach of late as well. Their beans are cheaper yes, but I've also resorted to buying smaller quantities from my local roasters.
  17. Also just wanted to ascertain if it was a trend. I know they value quality, hence I found it concerning.
  18. That's why I asked if anyone has had a similar experience. It's not a once off. I know for a fact that their machine is cleaned as it should be. I generally only buy from café though.
  19. Yes, used to enjoy their coffee, but not so much anymore though.
  20. will consider the Illy book as an investment purchase then. At that price better be worth it.
  21. Anyone buy coffee from the WW cafe lately? For me their coffee is becoming consistently bitter. Anyone else experience this?
  22. Have to agree there, paying for a ride you can do whenever you want to.
