  1. Shew any ride u should have it fixed for but yes the monster requires brakes not just for the hills but the rocks
  2. We gonna have some fun this year. Chilled ride for me .... Damn flu. No backpacks this time, we gonna stop at the water points #hopetheystockbeer
  3. In my view it is easier when going downhill to move over for the person going uphill. I can get my stride back easily after moving over, but when your stride gets broken going uphill it can be harder to get back on the gas. If 29er's have right of way, 26er's have to move off the path, what do 650b's do?
  4. I will look through the box tonight and send a photo
  5. Do you clear coat the cranks after or just leave it raw? If raw do hey stay polished? Looking to do a set of cranks soon the same way.
  6. I may have one at home. Will check tonight. Bought it for my GF frame only to find out that frame could not take any adaptor.
  7. For insurance purpose don't get it repaired. If it breaks again and you try and claim they won't pay out. Let your insurance take care of it.
  8. But then is it a real PB if you used the trokkie for extra pace ha ha. I do agree though and personally stop at all red robots when riding on the road. Try going to work at 5.30am i. Winter, they still go through on the red in The dark, cars included. You almost have to treat green robots like stop streets
  9. May be there are strava points and red robots get in the way ha ha
  10. On my garmin i have a feature called "elapsed time" which is great for racing as you start your ride/race and it acts like a stop watch. have it on my main screen. when u ride/race tou stop to fix things or stop at water points etc. with leaving this running all the time i know exactly how long i took. I could not find this function on the 35. Do you think it can me added at sometime or is it called something else on the unit? New SW is a great improvement
  11. I take mine with to make sure she does not drink my beers while i am away :-)
  12. Being fueled on beer is not doping
  13. heard a twitter rumour but nothing else......
  14. Awesome ride in rustenburg. 760m odd climbing in 35km so gave it a good test. Brakes failed both sides a few times to i learnt to pump them often ha ha
  15. Had the previous push down before and got the chain a little too long. Slipped going up the concrete strips at VG. Got to the top, took the links out the chain and was ok afterwards (until i snapped the chain 10km later but is was a 9 speed not SS) Maiden voyage on the new bike tomorrow morning. Should be interesting the brakes need bleeding for sure but they work. Magura brakes run out of blue blood to bleed. If you don't hear from me in a few days u know they failed ha ha
  16. Yeah it's a gusset tensioner. It pushes up instead of down. Works a bomb. Just need a very very thin spanner to set it
  17. Been busy. Just got to put the 180 rotor on the front (only mounting bracket in stock is for that size) and bleed the brakes then she is ready to roll on the maiden trails. Paint job not the best so if it does not work out I will send it in. Was a cool project stripping, painting and building it. Hope it knows how to drink n ride :-)
  18. I have some avid 7 levers for you

  20. Tested my nephews ss jump bike. No room for a mistake off the back of that saddle
  21. Sounds like it. Sadly i will have a geared bike but i promise to still drink beer
  22. Sadly not but i am doing the right thing letting the paint cure longer. Will finish it after christmas at mankele. I did just go buy blue grips. The last part so all it ready and waiting for the build
  23. Don't worry mine is also going to get bar ends :-) nice frames those almost got one on the hub the other day.
  24. Glimpse of the future SS. Got some pimp blue front cromag chairing and rear SS convertor
  25. Finally progress after the bathroom painting somehow sneaked in before the frame
