Yeah hope no bolts fall off halfway ha ha. Nothing like your first test 70km at VG, especially when your used to riding the 40km....... I may end up hanging around in the bar for quite a while
Will be getting some RemoveALL next week, just ordered a new manitou candy red MRD fork. Frame same colour as fork and Thinking green chainring and chain.
So headset sorted. I also used a sram front derailer as her conventional XT one didn't fit as it hit the rear triangle. Seems under full load on the rear suspension it also hits rear triangle with the bolt on the sram derailer that you clamp the cable. So the question is what front derailers fit
Geared bike up and running... Time to start the SS project all over again. must find that paint stripper, one can't have STD paint work on an SS machine, unless it is a real SS frame
Last time I did that dowhill I had V-brakes, so looking forward to smoking the disc's this year........aaaaaaah what the hell just let got the brakes and fly down I guess... @divernick Just rememebred when I saw your avatar, did the top caps come into stock again? I started the 70km hakahana, broke the frame, went back found another bike, rode the 40km with the GF which started 8:45 and we still caught them at one of the 70/40 splits. Must have been a fair way to go, back pack was still bulging
