  1. Dammit tried a few angles but i won't make it. Seems I will ride to VG from Haarties then ride with the GF round VG. You guys better hurry up and get back so I can drink beer with you afterwards................
  2. The drive side bearing is just a weak bearing. very small ball bearings and has a plastic casing holding them together. No rubber band or foam was going to save that puppie. The conversion is an actualy Enduro bearing conversion kit you can buy.
  3. Also converted mine 300km ago and all seems well. GXP ones were lasting 500km. But after 300km I made the REAL permanent change. Went from the Noir cranks to XT. Real problem solved. Not as light but will last longer and shift better.
  4. Thanx for that info. We can may be do some research. Best part is she didn't suspect the beer at the time so still finished off the last bit before sneezing and wheezing her way to the doc. Mate who also brews suspects yeast. Said most homebrew guys don't filter so you get quite a lot of "wet" yeast hence the reason bread would not trigger it. Google time
  5. The GF ended up at the hospital emergency on Sat night. Now she has to carry thr Epipen with her all the time. The cause of the bad reaction that closed the chest. 1 single 250ml homebrew beer. How sad is that. just can't figure out what is is in that beer. She is alergic now to Gilroy's and Copperlake but all other beer seems fine.
  6. Mogallywood brewery excellent beer. Wish I could come along but the GF had an allergic reaction on Sat evening and ended up at the hospital so I guess it's a much shorter ride for us
  7. Often buy stuff from them and they always willing to help out. Still would not take my bike for a service there, but then again I don't take mine anywhere......
  8. I went in there 1.5 months ago and again walked out of there with nothing I required, unless I wanted a tube, but then they didn't have the tube I wanted. And again I can even get first accent shorts cheaper at cyclelab. Lucky it was there that a mate gave me a gift voucher
  9. Frame being stripped right as i type New fork arrived. Love the colour
  10. Ok this is now getting complicated. You are going to try use it more than the GF has tested it. I think I should increase payment to 3/4 beer per km Cool you can use your Garmin strap for the HR monitor. After we got the firmware to load correctly it my NEW gamin strap works like a bomb on the Bryton (note the GF took my new one. More comfortable she said #SIGH)
  11. I think sometimes it depends on how full the device is. I know from my garmin it can take a while to pick up when i have a lot of data on it. Also some areas seem funny. At home I can pick up quickly but always when leaving work it takes 2-3km. Have not checked the Bryton but the garmin is doing that. So far the GF's Bryton seems to pick up the same time as my garmin.
  12. I am sure she will lend it to you, but I think she said 1 beer per km of use. You can pay me half a beer per km of use and I will sneak it out the house for you to use.....
  13. Great info on the spraying and the Logo. Just in time for my next project. Can't wait to get painting.
  14. Oh no rouxtjie you will have to buy one now Looking forward to the new Bryton software launch and I don't even own one (I am from the other dark side) but not that the GF even knows how her bryton uploads she does know how slow it is cause I can't get her strava details quick enough
  15. 2nd attempt. Seems only 3/4 of the paint came off the frame. Says something for gary fisher paint
  16. Depends on who does the sandblasting thay can actuallt damage threads etc on the frame if not careful. Besides easier to buy removeAll and work at home than send in and wait....
  17. Whaaa haaaaaaa
  18. Mmmmm I just stripped pearl white off my Gary Fisher frame...... Time to go Colonial Red
  19. Bring beer tonight and we can apply some removeall. My frame is busy "getting naked" as I speak in my garage waitinf for me to come home and spray off.
  20. awesome project. Quick question, how do you test for strength?
  21. Damn so my organic pads would have been rosted in the first 10 meters. Beer WAS the better choice (as long as you didn't need the loo)
  22. Hey Nick I see SS was the correct bike to use. How much brake pads were left?
  23. We offered you more beer which would have stopped you.......
  24. Have to say the Loo's were 10th grade. I had to warn some lady not to go in there (and not from me I promise) Think about this, there was only a handfull of people at the race. Can you imagine if there was a full house and the sun was shining..... ok hope you guys have already eaten your breakfast long ago before you thought about that. But the beers were cold at 6:45 I don't think the lady behind the counter believed us when we placed the order for beer not coffee.
  25. Yeah first woman overall on 35km but she cheated by using a SS bike ha ha. As she said no chain suck unlike her son. Wade was leading on the 35km by over 5 min, gears jammed (no dounbt chain suck) and he crashed. Cracked the top tube on the carbon bike, so he limped home to finish. I told him he should have brought his dad's Trek 69er SS bike......
