There are true idiots out there. I have a pair of blokes riding without helmets AND next to each other every morning in a single lane road who simply refuse friendly advise when it is given. I gave up, but I willl not cry foul when they become victims of their own stupidity.

I am using a Selle Italia Can Am for over 5 years without having to replace it yet. A creak or two when the going gets tough sometimes, but thats all. Very nice and comfortable in the rough.

call me slow if you want to, but I do not know what the terminoligy and the technical jargon is for when it comes to tubeless tires on Mtb. And I am talking the whole deal here. Rims, for eg. when are they Tubeless, UST compatable and whatever type there is. Is there someone who can supply quality information on this subject please?

I have a 10. Its a very nice bike, but I think I got the short end of the stick with regard to the brakes. I am Heavy for a cyclist @87Kg and I have to beg the fronts to retard me quickly. It is not the lightest bike out there, but the rest if the bike is really plush and so sweet of the beaten track simply because the rest of the components are working so very well together. Even the stock tyres was good while the thread lasted. Only one thing. Get your own saddle. No stock saddle is good.

I have a friend in the Western Cape looking to buy a new entry level MTB. He has had offers on a Trek4300 @ R3600 and a Silverback Alphine @ R4000. What is reasonable and is there something better available?

I don't know if the same happens anywhere else, but in Cape Town cars only turn on their indicators when they are already turning. They will stand at an intersection without any indicator and when they start rolling turn the indicator on. Why do they bother? I mean, if I can't see that the car is turning, what difference is the indicator going to have? I had to take many emergency reactions do to this stupid behaviour. Does it happen anywhere else? Am I the only one finding this un-acceptable?
