  1. Or learn to continiously bunny hop 5 times per second when riding off-road.
  2. Hahah I also have a 29er dual susser, my 29er hardtail is my race bike to fly up those hills.
  3. Why would anyone want a smaller wheelsize than 29" on a hardtail, unless you are a midget? But for duallies 650b might be perfect especially for small/medium bikes and trail riding. With a proper 29er wheelset I see no disadvantages.
  4. I ride a 29er hardtail medium with proper wheels and any smaller wheels will be a downgrade for any xc or marathon terrain. But for a dually trailbike give me some 27.5!
  5. How about a critical mass mtb xc lap racing for the whole family on Lourensford.
  6. Where is the 55km profile? What`s the total climbing for the 55km? Hardtail or dually?
  7. Be careful when taking the "shortcut to the red route" from the green route Zevenwaght, just after the long climb next to the fence, you turn left into the "shortcut to the red route", you go downhill with the little bumps in the road, then a slight right turn still going down, here is a dangerous rut on the left hand side of the road, but it is bunny-hoppable, but not easily seen.
  8. Told you it is good! Now imagine mine with American Classic Race wheels and Ritchey WCS tyres, with other minor upgrades sub 10kgs. Normally the false hilltops in Grabouw made me swear, 1st time I took the Storm out there, I swore at the false hilltop like normal, only to realize it was in fact the top. Keep in mind that the Rockshox need much more air than Fox. Look at left lower rear tube of the shock, there you should find a kg=>psi chart.
  9. Jeez thats like 4x more expensive than Enduren on buycycle.
  10. Enduren is local but used by many pros. USN made me wanna puke but Enderen is really good. You can flavour it or not. And the Enduren Cramp & Fatigue Busters really works well (giving up all my trade secrets here).
  11. Hahah I do not agree with you on the oros.
  12. What are these results then? http://advendurance....bseries/results Edit: Oh I see its all the event results excluding gravel-travel, Knox should take over the lead now.
  13. Morne Steyn does not read the game, he decides what to do long before he gets the ball, he is predictable and tends to pass to the wrong man, and tends to kick when he should run, and then his kicks are not all that good, and then his defense is weakass! Then their gameplan is dumb also. With many players that is not the best in SA, especially in the backline. Hougard is good as a utility impact back, Pienaar is better at no9.
  14. Enduren, water and apple juice!
  15. They should obviously make mention of it in their marketing and when entering. Anyway I would pay not to ride in this weather. And what other events are there to use the board? I only know of the mud-travel.
  16. In the Western Cape.
  17. Bring in some Stans Raven 2.2 29er tyres for heavens sake!
  18. Enduren cramp and fatique busters in combination with energy booster = WICKED SICK!! (that means very good)
  19. Looks like an extension to the Helderberg mtb route, where is the startpoint?
  20. But my legs dont pain when driving my car.
  21. I doubt that anything comes close to this bike for the price. A Merida 3000D @30k is heavier with heavy wheels. Momsen no I don`t think so it will be more expensive. I got the Storm1 3x10 with the following upgrades: American Classic Race wheels, Look Carbon pedals, Ritchey WSC 260 stem, Ritchey WSC Shield tyres. Still to come is a Use Titanium seatpost. I will add my review soon with some pics, my bike is seriously uber! Its going to be a good sub 10kgs for under R30k.
  22. Thanks for the info. I have discovered that the rowing machine at the gym makes it worse, maybe even causing my problem.
  23. Maxxis Aspens will outroll and outweight the Race Kings, and outgrip the Crossmarks.
  24. I ride the Storm1 which is very much like the Vida1 but with carbon frame. The Storm is a great XC bike with snappy handling and great acceleration with the light Crest wheels, same wheels as on the Vida1. I have read a review in a mag on the Vida1 and got a very good review.
