Had more time with this guy to get it right. With the Coral Trees and Tree Fuscia's in flower there were several different ones flying around. So managed to take my time on this one. Would have preferred a more open background. With all the light I had I could have brought the fstop down one or two stops to blur the background even more, but I was happy with this as a first real attempt. But I like that this shows how the bird fits in with the environment. Often this is how we see them, in a bush, not always against a blue sky.

Sometimes luck plays a BIG role. I could not believe it when this chap just sat on a branch for a fleeting second. It was just pure luck that the settings all worked on both occasions.
