  1. This makes me think that there is more to the load shedding than meets the eye.
  2. Hey guys. Sooooooooo. I have been offered a Colnago (possibly the ct1), but want some input. It is the titatium carbon model, about 10 yrs old, full campy record carbon. It is a reddish black in colour. What sort of price should I be paying ? And then if I do decide to pay - how does the sizing work. The guy reckons its is a 53. Given I am on a spez roubaix sized medium, how much will I need to change things to fit ? Which brings to the second bike, which is a blue steel Colnago, he said the steel was the not collectable - but the the allez (allyz) steel (not sure of spelling or even if it is correct). Can you guys help out ?
  3. well, in that case, the avatar comes into play ...
  4. Wind resistance from the bubble wrap.
  5. My first attempt at start trails. Karoo National Park.
  6. Well not actually today and not actually my bike, but I missed my bike. Borrowed a local bike and was knackered after 500m. The people in Zambia are TOUGH! They should have more cycling development in Zambia. Froomie would have nothing on these guys.

  12. This I am also experiencing - and it is adding more fuel to a raging fire. If I have no out come by Mid day I will be calling the London based numbers. Should that not work - it will be FB and instagram and any other social media channel till I get a response.
  13. While on Landie's - do any of you know how to contact Land Rover International (not RSA - but international)? Especially after an email address for someone, anyone in their marketing and or strategy department?
  14. Yep 8 hours is a long time - but that would be the idea. Take a bunch of people who have never every been together, they dont mind riding slowly and can ride for a long time. All mix of skills with a big dose of having fun and adventure, with some who ride 200km all the time, with some who will ride their first 200km. Everyone with a little fitness under the belt and can just generally enjoy the day.
  15. When will we know the dates of the next DC? And how tricky is it to enter ?
  16. I wonder if we can get a hub team together ? For folk like me who want to ride the DC and experience the event and just finish. Non of this ride for a pb, bleed through your eyes kind of thing. Just a lekker days ride with 12 other people helping each other finish.
  17. The event is not complete until we have a ride report from Velouria ......
  18. Thanks Rocket Boy I have a things for old stuff. And it really is cool to see machines made in South Africa, with South African tech and not much chinese tech. Then again I could be totally wrong in my ignorance.
  19. I have said it before and I will say it again. There is an intense love hate relationship with this thread.
  20. Does anyone know anything about these grinders. especially the company? I am thinking about letting this go for about R800 on FB. Is that a fair price? They mostly seem to go for R1000 or thereabouts in looking through google. But I cannot actually find anything on the FEMCO company itself. I inherited this from my Dad - but it is time to let this stuff, and all that it carries, go.
  21. we need a hub ride again!
  22. Cant see the link ? Is this the food recall ?
  23. DJR, Mrs Slowbee has her raleigh up for sale with a set of those rolf vector comps on and I can confirm they are amazing wheels!
