  1. I am getting the 910 now with plans to start doing triathlons with it. Its got the same bike functionality as the edge 500 with the added bonus that you can use it for swimming and running as well.
  2. Shes also part of team RECM so I'm not sure about this. I wonder if Lourens Luus will do the epic in 2014. If Anika and Ariane rides together and Erik and Nico then maybe a new mixed team of Cherise and Lourens will compete in the mixed?
  3. Team RE:CM is in specialized next year so that will explain the S Works. According to the team announcement they will be targeting the mixed category at the Epic so I think hell be riding with Ariane again
  4. I used a pair of lakes for 9 months before they came apart. Very comfy but not as durable as they should be
  5. I entered for my wife and myself yesterday without any problems
  6. It clashes with the MTN Rooiberg event which is also a bloody tough race!!!
  7. Thanks Tim When will the routes be finalised? I want to know how tough the Ultra is going to be?
  8. My wifes first bike was a mens bike. We simply changed the stem to a shorter one and fitted a Ladies saddle and it was basically the same as a womans specific geometry. You don't need to buy a womans specific bike. You can buy a mens bike and make a few tweaks and you will have just as much fun...
  9. I dont think you can strip them. And they have been discontinued so you will not be able to find spares in any case.
  10. So is it thus confirmed that all distances will be done on Saturday the 8th of Feb?
  11. O would say the top one is a fake. On the Ritchey Carbon Bars the word Ritchey is on one side of the stem and Carbon on the other. I have never seen it all on one side as in the picture... And the font is not correct either which is a dead giveaway...
  12. I am also looking to do a course in JHB or PTA. I can do most things fairly well already, but I would like to master the shocks, BB and Headset especially
  13. We're in the process of building up a Venter for those weekends away. 4/5 Thule Pro Rides acquired from fellow hubbers!
  14. Sorry might have confused it with the freeride. Well it all depends if you want to remove the front wheel everytime you load it I think. Will it be for a road bike or moantain bike? I am not to sure how good those kind of loading systems is for the fork?
  15. I was told by the dealer that the Pro Ride is better for Carbon framed bikes. For Alu frames he said it does not really make a difference.
  16. You need to claim for each day individually, so you will get 3* the points
  17. Thanks, Just waiting for payday. Bought a bike earlier in the week
  18. Does anyone know who I can contact at the Velo Club?
  19. Geez, Im going to have to up my game to keep up with the Tuesday ride. Averaged 32 on the 94.7 all by myself so not sure how big a difference a bunch will make. I am only getting into road cycling now, but I MTB alot...
  20. At least we've got a few interested guys. If all else fails we can start up our own little group
  21. I am just around the corner in Timbavati Street. The pace will depend on the group I guess. I have seen quite a lot of guys riding in the mornings, and was hoping to link up with them if possible.
  22. I am looking to join a group for some weekday morning training rides. I am looking to go out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can do 2-3 hour rides on either my MTB or Road bike. I would like to go out as early as possible as I work in JHB, so ideally I would like to be done by 7h30. Is there anyone I can join out there?
