Overheard a discussion amongst the organizers about this at the end of the race saturday ....

I was always of the opinion that cadence is a personal matter, not the same for all riders .... #watweetek

Don't know about TB but I remember it took me a while longer than I thought to recover from Sani2C non stop ....

I remember saying on a previous thread where this came up 'I doubt a rider of that stature (Sauser/Stander) would let themselves be dictated to in that manner'. At the end of the day results are what count! the rider will surely ride the equipment that gives him the best chance of winning which is also important to tthe manufacturer .... #miskienpraateknetstront

I actually enjoyed it! 60k's just over 3 hours ..... Dangerous Dan "PPP ride done, nearly unscrewed my hips trying to catch you on the downs" Victor "Sanchez' Nunes (Nitro) after hearing we did it 'that's a long way on a BMX' Lesson number 1 - a bit of weight on a downhill with 1 gear isn't a bad thing Lesson number 2 - 32*18 works just fine Lesson number 3 - so much cadence will show up any not so 'good quality' shorts The plan is to make that our normal Sunday ride for the next while till Crater Cruise at least ....

The first blue section after you cross back over the river confuses me and I ride there 3-4 times a week .....

I remember an article in one of the cycling mags in '89 with extensive analysis of why Lemond was faster in the TT. Fignon's hair was a major contributer as I recall .....
