  1. nathrix - how much of that was on an 'always the wrong gear'
  2.  - quite clear by the papoose on your arm ....

    TEAK

According to all sources I have seen recently this past weekend was the last, it is now closed ....
  4. Thanks man, I have been riding it like that for a few weeks and no problem!
  5. Some hubbers didn't even 'know' about the whole initiative that Dangle, Troy et al started despite the numerous threads in this regard. Had they not seen it on Carte Blanche it seems they would still be oblivious ..... It clearly has had an effect!
  6. Perhaps start here https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/214081085295867/
  7. I have just put a 2*10 crank on my otherwise 3*10 drivetrain, I simply adjusted the limit screws on the existing FD so that I now effectively have only one shift possible on my 3 'shift' front shifter. It isn't 100% perfect when you look at it for different reasons (2*10 crank vs a 3*9 with big blade removed) but it works a treat! Like OX says no need to change the chain length unless it worries you! But then again the microwave generation would rather just go and buy stuff and do it .... be daring and do some testing, gives great satisfaction when it works!
  8. I find the med ones particularly good for car washing .....
  9. Maybe not everyone is a 'manx missile' fan ....... #justwondering
  10. I used one at Epic, lost my 'tool' bottle out of there on the first day - like everyone says make sure it's a tight fit .....
  11. All done ..... shifts fine but will check it on the Rietvlei XC course tomorrow! I notice one or 2 things that 'may' be an issue but we'll see ....
  12. Bread is not supposed to last 7 days or more
  13. Slowone I just nearly fell off my chair
  14. I would have to take a 22*36 to Rietvlei then .... will take all day to go round there though
  15. And I love to tinker and try stuff I still have my 26r Epic that is setup with what I like (in this case 3*9) and it is my favourite bike of all time. You may note I don't mess with that
  16. I'm gonna do exactly that on my 29r tonight ... with a 39/26 double ..... will report back once done and tested!
  17. So tonight the tinkering/testing begins - so by my non engineering background I calculated that a 39*11 on a 29r is the same as a 44*11 on a 26r .... I would lose possibly 1.5 of the easiest gears ...... Oh well
