  1. Outside front routing option ! Inside front routing! I have tried the up the back of the fork leg behind the 'crown' but that leaves eventually deep grooves in it (often wondered how a mere brake hose can do that!). Anyway what y'all think?
  2. Don't care, still hope I get a lottery entry ..............................
  3. Mints you're a scholar and a gentleman, thanks would appreciate it!
  4. Hey Mints, please do take a pic. Neither my Fox forks (F100X and F100RLT) or my Tora have a mounting . What I do have on 1 fork is one of those cable ties with the moulded in cable holder. Generally I just use cable ties, lazy now to go out into the cold to the garage but will take a pic of the three different options with my phone before going to work and post them.
  5. Now if only I could get away with saying I'm out every Wednesday from 11am to go network on the MTB like some of my colleagues say when they are playing golf without taking leave ......
  6. Thanks mate! Looks way neater so will change my other bike sometime as well.
  7. So tonight I finished swapping brakes/shifters between 2 MTB's. While doing it I wondered if the way the front brake hose was routed should be outside or inside the fork leg. Googling says inside but I worry that it seems pretty close to the spokes/wheel somehow. All my bikes have always had them outside but it sure looks neater on the inside ......... so I have done them both on the inside. It also seems to me that since it now doesn't rub on the crown of the fork those ugly marks wouldn't occur? Any comments?
  8. Bring net BAIE pies. I'll do the bundu bashing! I think this is a bit of a red herring . Didn't look like you were eating that many pies lately when I saw you last ....................
  9. I have a bike with Avid Juicy7's with the original rotors, another with XTR calipers with an Avid wavy and a Magura superlight wavy and still another with Magura Julies with Alligator rotors (the Ninja star looking ones). They all work fine. In fact the only one's that even have original pads are the Avids!
  10. Must say I have repaired a sidewall in a UST tyre with a needle and dental floss (added a patch inside as well) then redone the tubeless. No problem. Seemed a hell of a waste to toss a nearly new Killer Bee just cause of a 15mm sidewall cut but then again I'm a bit of a miser as some already know ..........
  11. Hey Mints, me and Lil' Ben debated that but were of the opinion that the result once given was final unless there is an option at some kind of CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport or something like that) ......
  12. Don't be sarcastic. Ian's deeply hurt about this one. He didn't even wait for me at the top - and it wasn't even Thursday morning!!! Sorry IanJ didn't realise it was so fresh .........
  13. They just didn't want Sauser (and Specialized of course ) to be both 2008 XC and marathon world champion, flippin chops
  14. Um Yes but then so would you be if it was Joanna Hotchkiss' date=' I think she weighs about 18kg with her bike. [/quote'] Uuhhhmm was intended sarcastically since I have been beaten by many girls mate and many were not even that light ............... That's over my 18 years of running (Comrades included), Triathlons/Duathlons (10 * Iron Man including a silver) as well as cyling! In fact when I got a silver at Iron Man I was even beaten by girls .....
  15. Hey OX I must be honest I spend at least 97.435% of my time in the middle blade, in fact I've only ever replaced middle blades! Will set it up tonight and then do a bit of testing and comment later! Thanks for the info though.
  16. [ Hey Christie, wait till the PieMan sees that ........... he will can like to wet his jean pant!
  17. Hey IanJ/Gangsta - you oke's get beaten by girl runners/cyclists
  18. Hey Ian, I think the Gangsta's a bit lost .......
  19. I did my tubeless convertion on Friday night. It worked 100%. I bought my BMX tubes at GAME. Cool! I assume Presta valves?
  20. Cool thanks mate, gonna give it a go
  21. I know that this has been debated and tables with capacity presented etc. but has anyone actually used a medium cage RD on 22/32/44 * 11-32 gear combination (on an MTB of course!). From what I have read at other sites it seems that medium cage RD's may give 'snappier' better shifts but you have to be careful because it is best not to use the small chainring and the 2-3 smallest gears on the cluster. Anyone have any experience with this combo?
