  1. HR - two and a half months ago I guess is the crux (sorry oom Crux!) of the matter here! 30 DAYS DOESN'T EVEN FIGURE SO TOUGH LUCK FOR THEM. Maybe one of those customers you rather don't want anyway?
  2. Should have taken the oi............
  3. Ox - you bought a new bike yet?
  4. Would agree with CP, better than doing nothing but not as effective as being out on the road! Having said that, it's pretty easy to 'slack' out on the road and JRA (just ride along!), specially if you're on your own! Maybe it's the 'peer' pressure in a spinning class of keeping up and actually (yip seen some who pretend you won't believe, sure Spidey can tell!) adjusting the 'resistance' that helps? We (myself, casci and BrotherBen) have taken the specific workout options during the weekday morning rides, hill repeats Tuesdays (alternate between long and short ones), sprint intervals Thursdays. Wed and Fri are for the JRA rides. Weekend long road Sat and long mountain Sun. casci will bear me out that the hill reps and sprint intervals can leave a strange taste in your mouth born out by bloodstains on the shirt when you get home! There's nowhere to hide on those! On the other hand depends what you want out of your training I guess, you wanna just survive a future race then JRA/spinning is probably all OK! If you got oke's around you that are always testing you and making comments about your age/fitness/weight/lack of hair etc. and you're competitive it needs a a bit more effort! Oh forgot also have to work hard cause that bored girls coming fast! And just by the way the motto in my family is that if there is more than 1 of you it is a race!!!!!!
  5. The bibs are plenty fine! No issues with it. OK so it has only been one just over 3 hour ride but they are comfortable.
  6. It was on the way home after the Suikerbosrand nature reserve so uuuuhmmmm ................ musta been that
  7. Not now anymore ! Maybe I gotta wear a coat from now on.
  8. .(463 years) ........ and then you only get it after all that 'gegrassnyery' not up front!
  9. Wag bietjie Crux ek's nog besig om die 'GPSR' soos my skoonma dit noem te programmeer!
  10. Sure, call Wes at 021-461-5422 (Howzit Sportswear). You can tell him that BigBen sent you but not sure if that helps!
  11. I guess from getting all sorted about 3 weeks or so. BTW they do not charge for the designing work as I understand it!
  12. DR - neat trick Scotty has with those 'permatubes with fake valves', who would have known
  13. Rode with the new kit last weekend - 100k RB through the Suikerbosrand nature reserve! Must say it looked very 'spiffy' Fit is good and the 'pant' padding is great no problems to report. Next weekend we are off to the SabieX pre-ride and there it will get the final test of course.
  14. Scotty - but my lips are sealed(if not all my sidewalls but anyway!) BTW - where's Ollie been?
  15. Pops - hoe gaan dit met die 'blou pilletjies'? Onto my second bottle!
  16. Saw those GIANT ones at SMWH, covers seem a bit flimsy and don't 'clip' so lekker. Anyone has experience with them? They are even useful when it's just dusty as opposed to full on mud!
  17. Scotty - But ................... apparently not yet!
  18. Further to that, if you have 'a lot' of weight to lose as you indicate I would start there with diet etc. and worry about the faster with HR later on!
  19. racman - the CS200 is not able to provide such 'sophisticated' information in my experience! Fine for trying to stay within zones that you have programmed but that's about it. Of course others may disagree!
