  1. I'm with you on that, looks like an oversize 80's BMX bike
  2. His wife said no, sorry ðŸĪŠ
  3. Autumn on the Highveld ... not unpleasant 😀
  4. Anyone perhaps have a set of 27.5 gravel or slick tires lying around? Need to test a 26" frame with 27.5 gravel wheels 😎 TIA
  5. Went to mark the 'Blue Shed' for @Pikey ... and it's even on his 'good side' where he can see 🙄
  6. A lekker 'surf and turf' ride yesterday, these ladies just hanging around converting grass to milk 😎 There is something about how blue the sky is on the Highveld
  7. No ... I ride a 'fair' bit and hardly take anything but before I say anything else, the last time i commented about how much and what people take on training rides I got a right bollocking so I leave them be now 😜
  8. It's the little dirt access road behind the 1Stop on the right hand side of the highway going out towards Vereeniging, hope that makes sense .
  9. Testing the latest #Orangutang build this morning ...a bit of everything. Winter is upon us here on the Highveld folks ðŸ˜ģ And the mud just lingers as well 😞

  11. A bit of fiddling still but it's done ....
  12. Well that didn't last long ...
  13. Peeps need to go a bit easier on the Omo up river 😒
  14. Just up the road ....
  15. The weather has played havoc with the local off road rides, almost everyone goes across that bridge to get to the better bits ... still not really rideable, you could klap 'n toon through some mud and go though. The other options all need loads of tar and it seems it'll rain again soon so it'll be a while still I guess 🙄
  16. Not sure many have seen a 10sp 11-50 cassette but I happened upon one as one does when you're scratching around 😜 Decided to change my gravel bike from 2x 32/42 × 11-36 to 1x 42 x 11-50 which meant I ended with pretty much the exact same gearing 😃 2 challenges I was pretty sure of was whether the 9sp derailleur would be able to reach even with a longer B screw and would the chain stay on the front blade. The derailleur wouldn't work, the cage stopped against the second gear, got an extender which sorted that problem. The shifting isn't perfect but definitely usable I decided to 3D print a chain guide and modify it for this purpose. Took quite a few goes but settled on one. Busy printing the final one in black now. Did a short test ride on all sorts of terrain this morning and it was all good ... the weather is turning crappy again so knows when I'll get to do a proper long ride Thanks to @TheoGand @Jewbacca for the assistance!
  17. Thanks for the thought mate! Jewbacca esquire will ship to me post haste ... Good man that 😎

  19. You're a scholar and a gentleman! I'll DM you 😎
  20. Looking for a Derailleur hanger extender like the one's Rapide sells ... don't want to buy one yet as what I'm trying to do may not work! If it does work I'm happy to pay for it or return it and buy a new one from Wayne 😎 Fanks ou's
  21. As mentioned for beginner riders with cleats, never said for hub super talented riders 😜
  22. There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity 😎
  23. Boggles the mind ... When I started riding I got my boet's brother in law to bring me a few sets from the States. The big advantage was that you could even 'pull' your foot out of necessary. @Eldronin those days I didn't do much 'bumpy' stuff and as soon as I was confident with them I went to normal cleats
  24. Kim riding again?
