  1. Yes for a while now, haven't been able to solve it yet [emoji35]
  2. Such a lekker ride should not end with a couple of suspected cracked/broken ribs [emoji856] but that's the way the boerewors bends I guess
  3. You are using your noggin my friend, I'm sure however the Hub 'rona police will be here any minute to show the error of your ways [emoji12]
  4. I'll keep 'masking up' so the Karens and Kens stay calm but... 'warns against' https://thenationonlineng.net/who-warns-against-use-of-masks-during-exercise/
  5. Following an unknown GPS route today ... Jozi hustle!
  6. Can't be that bad a perception cause hell I see a lot of their bikes around...
  7. I assume none of the 'haters' drive BMW's or ride Harley's or wear Salomon's...as I've said before choose any demographic and you'll find 'douches'
  8. I can only comment on the green route and that has been well maintained and even improvements and changes done during lockdown. @Pikey can comment on the more 'gnarly' bits...
  9. 'New' bike day... The 'new' old green at Thaba is pretty cool, a couple of nice changes and additions! Cause I know a guy I have that cool cover for the FD mount spot...
  10. Seriously? The bikes I have are probably way more bike than I need or have the talent to use but I don't give a rats @ss what people think I'll buy what I want and ride what I want where and when I want... Didn't know that so many 'cyclists' could be Karens I can appreciate these bikes the same as I can a Porche or Ferrari, can't afford them but doesn't mean I cast aspersions or make derogatory remarks about those that can
  11. I have the WheelsMfg BB on my Epic, best money I ever spent! Having said that I went with those cups on one of my road bikes since I wanted to use an Ultegra crank I already had when building it. Haven't had any problems but then again I don't ride it that often (once or twice a week) and it's a road bike so less dirt and stuff?
  12. Provinces and metros I can understand but personally I have no idea which 'district' I live in nevermind where it's 'borders are.
  13. As you probably gathered by now I'm a cynical grumpy old man at times [emoji12]
  14. I'm not doubting it could have happened but did you see a copy of a fine by any chance?
  15. Our father's day tradition continues!
  16. *Strikes Duane off the Christmas card list* [emoji12]
  17. Sorry, no idea... Definitely no circus activity at that location to my knowledge though.
  18. Yes as far as I know they have been providing takeaways during this time
  19. Cafe du Cirque - Boswell Wilkie CircusPlot 116, Springbok Rd, Daleside, Randvaal, 1873 083 226 1213 https://maps.app.goo.gl/Xez8FUf2poZa7NEy7
  20. First a dash to the Circus, thought I'd go say hello to Marcel but alas the gate was closed ... then a high speed collect and deliver on the messenger bike, was it contraband ... sure was that cigarette carton size and feel [emoji848]
  21. Right that's that, good enough for the annual father son ride on Sunday! I've taken it round the suburb, shifting works fine, brakes 'work' Thanks for all the tips and advice gents. Many of you will know that builds like this I try to do as best I can with what I have in my garage and what I can scavenge from my sons shop, mate's shops and their garages. Only cost was 120 ZA rondts for the tandem length gear and brake inner cables. Not something anyone I know would have 'lying around' Did have to juggle wheelsets around a bit but all my other bikes are still intact and rideable.
