  1. You're the second person to comment on that ... there isn't a dent or anything, must be the way the picture was taken?
  2. Rocky Bay MTB trails, enjoying the 'plus' wheels I must say but doubt I'd ride them in 'marathon' type rides . ..
  3. 'fun' yoh ... Look it was a lekker morning out no doubt but coming back up the 'other side' of Breedt's was a tad tricky. Glad I took a 'proper' mountain bike and not my gravel bike. The ride back took the 'wind out of my sails' a bit if you'll excuse the pun, that single track section at the end made up for it though [emoji16] Organisation was pretty slick, no complaints
  4. Good job Stretch,. love it when bikes are built in this fashion (as opposed to off the shelf, nothing wrong with those either though I must add)
  5. Another day, another 'odd' job tackled [emoji16]
  6. I'll pass on the message, thanks!
  7. The weather a little bleak in Howteng, most it would appear were hiding rather than riding .... just outside Daleside on the Kareekloof road
  8. Where did it say they won't let cyclocross bikes do the 105? I thought they just can't podium....
  9. Saw this on Tweeta a day or 2 ago .... Great to see @ModderReserve #trails to be run by @TwoTheCoreEvent Sure the team will be doing wonderful things for #mtb'ing
  10. Even that won't help I suspect [emoji12] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. +1 for the Ritchey Megabytes 700*38, have done many kilometers on them in all kinds of conditions including Saturday and no problems yet! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. As I said before I prefer round trip! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. I would not consider that a gravel bike 'friendly' route ... Just my opinion I guess. Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
  14. I wasn't too bothered with which would be faster or better but rather an opportunity to ride my MonsterCross and do something new/different As an aside my mate Mo, a local cyclist from the south, and I have been 'racing' each other for many years, the source of a lot of good natured ribbing. We normally finish within a few minutes of each other at most events bar any technical or heath issues, I'd say I am a little ahead in 'victories' over that time (he would naturally disagree [emoji6]) He finished just over half an hour behind me (we were still together at about 35k's), not scientific by any means as we all know many factors could influence what happens on the day. Having said that be sure that I will be claiming the gravel over MTB victory at our next social gathering! [emoji41] I'm not a big fan of races that start and end at different places purely due to the logistics required, I do try every so often to make a plan as I did this time. Frosty my only comment would be that a 'proper' gravel race should not include thick sand or corrugations! And no I'm not saying they should be on tar/paving .... Just some Sunday evening rambling I guess. Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk

  16. Dammit [emoji36] but still I enjoyed it on the gravel bike, it would appear there were many new or at least recently purchased gravel bikes there. Realised again that on some of those surfaces and rougher parts we rode on a certain 'finesse' is needed to look after the tyres, caught out some pretty 'experienced' riders that [emoji41] Wonder who won the Specialized prize? 17. No man, hope it passes quick! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. We may have pretty 'fair' weather on the Highveld in winter but it can look rather drab out. Some scorched earth into the wind riding at the Fast One on Sunday .... Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks mate! Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
  20. For the GPS experts, which would be better to use, the TCX or GPX file for my Garmin 820 with maps? Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
  21. Has anyone received the e-mail that was to come today yet? Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
  22. I saw someone taking pics near the end, any idea where we can see them? Sent from my LG-D958 using Tapatalk
