  1. More feedback on the Tailwind as yet Dave? Also do you guys use the caffeine one or the non? Flavours?
  2. If our local stores stocked Saucony's, I might have used them above my Brooks which I absolutely love. Every time I use my Saucony Triumph's I just realize how good they feel.
  3. I and 3 of my friends are on the NB 910's, now they are now on the summit KOM. His wife has the peregrine 8's and swear it is the best ever. I do have a pair of road Triumph's and know how great they feel, thus me wondering to perhaps give the peregrines a try after a lot of good feedback. So I'm just sitting between knowing how trustworthy the NB is and perhaps taking a chance with an even better pair in the peregrine.
  4. Does anybody here have experience with Amazon? What am I missing here? https://www.amazon.com/gp/cobrandcard/marketing-popup.html/ref=cobrand_pp_unrec_50_mr?pr=con321&inc=50gc&ts=etg73rmhicvod4t5r4ewyyk3skaolel&plattr=CB50PP&place=pp&imp=c23d7f47-d64b-4fbf-ad10-fa2ab10be78c
  5. If I have somebody in the USA at the moment I guess this will be a good buy then? https://www.amazon.com/Nathan-SpeedMax-Handheld-Flask-Bluestone/dp/B01BMJL0UG/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1546977431&sr=8-8&keywords=nathan%2Bsports&th=1&psc=1 650ml,wow....
  6. I use their ultra bag for all the other baggage we have to carry along, very happy with it!
  7. If it works work Ryan Sandes why would it not work for me? LOL These ones comes in a holder which looks like it will keep everything more rigid. https://www.takealot.com/aonijie-soft-flaskholder-with-soft-flask/PLID52292620?colour_variant=Black
  8. Thanks a lot. Do you think these or the soft flask one like in my link will be better?
  9. https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/osprey-duro-handheld-250ml/4310 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/fuelbelt-enduro-fuel-hand-held/4310 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/fuelbelt-hydra-fuel-hand-held-waterbottle/4310 I think I might just try this, which I can get for R260. It is a 500ml soft flask as well. https://www.takealot.com/aonijie-soft-flaskholder-with-soft-flask/PLID52292620?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx86IuMfd3wIVorztCh355QPCEAQYASABEgIuhvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&colour_variant=Blue
  10. Exactly what I was looking for, but I see you will have to get the Nathan from there.
  11. I'm looking at new Trail shoes as well and currently it will be between the NB Summit KOM or the Saucony Peregrine (with Brooks Cascadia as a outside one). What bothers me a bit is that I saw two pairs of Saucony Peregrines at races recently that had tears on the front uppers. Was this just a coincidence or do they have this issue as well, anybody? I and a few of my friends has only been happy with NB thusfar, but I have heard good things about the Peregrines so I want to look at them as well. If they have a quality issue it will be NB again.
  12. I am currently on the new 500ml Oros bottles, they work nicely as well. I was however thinking about something that you don't have to hold on to the whole time, something like this expensive example... https://www.shopfuelbelt.co.za/Soft-Flask-Bottle-p125458817
  13. What is good handheld water bottles or flasks to go for that won't break the bank either?
  14. http://maxirace.co.za/ Amazing start to the MaxiRace Cape Winelands! 15. I had "tropical chicken pasta" and a bavaria zero at each my seconding points during comrades, felt like a new man after that. That will be my menu from now on... That with Farbar's for inbetween.
  16. Dry wors can also work. I found a few nice home made bars and balls/bombs recipes. Only problem is that there is few space in running belts. I know Hammer perpeteum works great and have heard good things about tailwind as well, these stuff is just very expensive. Thanks guys
  17. If someone does not cope with Racefood Farbar as food source on ultra's, what other practical food supply options is there that you can try out. That obviously fits in a running belt. Apart from the other real food you will eat at seconding spots. PS: Potatoes works great, just does not work so nice in a running belt!
  18. Yup. An unexpected Brooks purchase coming right up...
  19. If anybody else perhaps missed this (Like I did). 15 % OFF ALL ITEMS including SALE items for the whole of November when you spend R 2000.00 or more. Coupon code ” POOBIEROCKS”
  20. 23km. Sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. There is more enjoyable runs though..

  22. I was under the impression RTB also includes the accommodation just like Dumbe? That must be why the one guy told me they stayed at ATKV Drakensville for RTB. Then it's a no brainer, Dumbe is a real good value for money all inclusive package I think in this day of crazy Trail Race prices. You literally just have to take beer money if you want that. Edit: I see now RTB entry excludes accommodation and meals. There that goes off from my to do list... PS: Yup, there was a Solly's climb as well.
  23. Not yet, that is next on the bucket list, heard great things about RTB as well. But you can enter RTB now and then enter Dumbe next year on their 3 month payment plan.
  24. Just a heads up if anybody wondered if the Dumbe Trail Run weekend in Bergville is worth doing.. Absofreakinglutely!!!!!
  25. Absolutely. I have had enough convincing already... See you there then next year!
