I think it is Naas(or Nick Mallet) who said that you need to have your gameplay on such a high level that a wrong refereeing decision will not be able to take the win away from you. Springboks got that right at RWC 2019. (The SF against Wales was way too close in that aspect) But some matchups are just so tight that it is impossible to get that far ahead and you unfortunately need to live with the losses as much as you live with the wins that come from those 50/50 calls. This year was insanely tight between Max and Lewis and it is absolutely a fair reflection on the season that a controversial refereeing decision seems to be a major factor in deciding who won the Championship. But there were MANY such decisions throughout the year, not just this one. Any one of them could have swung it one way or another, it was that close. LEWIS would have been a Worthy champion if the dice fell his way in this last race. MAX is a worthy champion, even taking into account the fall of the dice on those last laps at Abu Dhabi. MERCEDES deserves the Constructors Championship, that car and Engine is MEGA!

Theoretically yes, but practically, I don't see Sainz going past Max on that Lap, Max was a man possessed... Maybe Sainz could go past Lewis if Sainz was also on Fresh SOFTS like Max, I couldn't see if Sainz pitted under safety car from the highlights, looked like he was still on the White HARDS at the restart.

It was a massive gamble. When Latifi crashed I checked the laps remaining and thought it is very tight to get that car cleaned off the track AND have some racing. This race will be talked about for decades to come. Which is good for the F1 brand actually.

I can see the Mercedes argument. Lewis was: Lap 53-P1, Lap 54-P2 But Sainz was: Lap 53-P3, Lap 54-P3 I fail to see how he was disadvantaged. Thus the reason I say this is just lawyers looking for a payday.

I don't understand, Sainz then finished 3rd? Where are the lapped cars they refer to? Between him and Max? So they think they could have had a shot at 2nd? Seriously?! Did they watch the same race that we did? I think this is just fishing for some sort of payout/compensation while everyone else is bashing on the FIA. Yeah, with the nature of the track and the rocket engine in the back of the Merc, I cannot see Max finishing ahead of LH unless something goes wrong with the Merc.

Lewis is going to have to learn to dodge like the Taxis in our suburb when I am out with my 12 year old JEEP. I noticed recentlyg, with all their erratic driving, they don't have a dent in them... It has become my little pet project to see whether I can add a dent to an erratic driving Taxi...

@mecheng89, I deduce from your handle that you are fairly good with your hands. Can you maybe just pop-in at the old house with your toolbox over the weekend and fix the problematic door yourself? I don't think you are obliged to replace it, just make it functional again. It is most likely just a dirty rail or hinge. If it is a part that needs replacing just pop into Gelmar, cheap fittings galore And while you are there, just ask the guy to return his man-card to you, you will distribute it to someone worthy. Even if it isn't my responsibility, I would much rather do that than argue about it via lawyers.

Sorry, this won't resolve your dispute actually. But it would just be interesting to know whether he ever took care of a home himself.

Was his offer subject to the selling of a different property? Was it subject to obtaining a 100% bond from the bank? This gives some clues.

I don't get some people. My mom just got the keys to her new place on Saturday. We moved in and cleaned the gutters(full of compost, so haven't been cleaned in a while), rainwater drain pipes(same) and fixed all the little niggles you forgot was there when you saw the house initially. But that is how we operate. We get in there ourselves and fix it. Sure, an undisclosed termite infestation or structural issue will be met with an immediate phonecall, but on the small stuff, just step up and fix it yourselves new home owners. To the OP, is the buyer a first-time home owner?

I'm by no means a die-hard Max fan. He has always been very reckless in his overtakes, he actually calmed down the last two years in comparison with previously. But it is clear that the Merc has the upper-hand with their car since Brazil, so Max is trying everything in the book to try and win this championship. I am also by no means a LH44 hater. But somewhere along the lines, maybe since the Rosberg battle, I have just not appreciated the way he handles himself. What can't be argued is that this rivalry has brought F1 back to life. And typically one is forced to pick between one of the two protagonists. Max just got less unlikeable qualities for me. But both are exceptional drivers. Fingers crossed that we get relatively equal cars next year and maybe I can cheer on George Russel or Norris for the Championship battle....

I'd hate to admit it, but I was also waiting with baited breath for the 44 car to just lose the back-end in those final laps and slide softly into the wall, snapping only the driveshaft... Max finishing 1st and the Drivers championship settled then and there... But alas, we go to the final race and it will all come down to which one finishes ahead of the other. Obviously some other scenarios also in play: Both DNF = Max Wins. (Most wins in season) LH-P9, MV P10+Fastest Lap = Max Wins. (Most wins in season) My gut says we are going to see high-drama at that final race, won't be a simple Qualy and run to the line for either one of these two.

Glad I tuned in, that was mental! Nobody could have scripted this season any better. Equal on points going into the final race. What would actually be fun to watch is if these two need to race each other in the final race from about P9 and P10 on the grid for one reason or another.
